Crazy Ideas Night | Before Being Proven Right

I'm crazy, so what?

Every idea that later changed an industry sounded like a joke at first.

The people who proposed them usually had to endure a stretch where no one believed them, alone. Some made it through. Some didn't. Sometimes the difference wasn't the idea itself — it was whether there was even one person nearby who understood what they were talking about.

Monolith is launching "Crazy Ideas Night" to create exactly that kind of environment.

This is a place where half-baked ideas can be spoken out loud. No need to prove the business model works, no need to say the right things, no need to pretend you've got it all figured out. Just bring a real question, or a real idea.

We welcome people who haven't figured it out yet but have already started building. People whose ideas have been called "too early." People who've been asked "who would use this" but kept going anyway. People who feel a little out of step with the world but know exactly where they're headed.

AI, robotics, smart hardware, frontier tech — any direction, the crazier-sounding the better.

Your idea doesn't need to be perfect. It doesn't even need to be right. It can be a hunch, a prototype, something you wrote down at 2 a.m. and thought was maybe too insane the next morning. No one here will grade you. But someone might say: I've been thinking about that too.

We especially welcome young people. This era has given you unprecedented tools and leverage, and you happen to be the generation that understands best how to use them.

What will you find here? A group of people who have each gone very far in different directions. You may never have heard of what they're working on, but each of them has their own way of seeing the world — and the guts to act on it.

We hope every time we gather, you'll collide with directions you wouldn't have thought of alone, and keep talking until you lose track of time.
