Its Pre-A round saw investments from Lenovo Capital and Incubator Group, Yaotu Capital, 5Y Capital, 37 Interactive Entertainment, Zhuiyuan Ventures, MiraclePlus, and Yuanyang Investment, with existing investors Gaorong and Sequoia doubling down. The Pre-A+ round was led by Tongge Ventures — a fund jointly established by Goertek, miHoYo, and 37 Interactive Entertainment — alongside miHoYo, Zhongyuan Capital, Eastern Bell Capital, Eight Roads Ventures, Jianshi Capital, Ningbo Yongjiang Sci-Tech Innovation, and Ningbo Zhenhai Industrial Capital, with Yuanyang Investment, 37 Interactive Entertainment, and GSR Ventures continuing their support.

Chip as Platform
Driving the Ultimate XR Experience
GravityXR is an XR spatial computing chip design company focused on dedicated chips and related components for XR devices (AR glasses, VR headsets, and MR headsets). It aims to deliver a complete next-generation XR spatial computing solution: core chips as the vehicle, backed by hardware technology and algorithms.
In recent years, XR technology has steadily matured. High-resolution displays, precision sensors, and powerful integrated computing have all laid solid technical groundwork for the XR experience. Meanwhile, the maturing content ecosystem has provided crucial support for the industry's growth. An increasing number of hardware, software, and content companies are leveraging their strengths to position themselves across the XR value chain, leading to a more rational distribution of industry resources and better serving user demands for immersion, comfort, interoperability, and affordability.
Throughout this evolution, the importance of XR chips cannot be overstated. As the core component of XR devices, chip performance directly shapes user experience. As XR component technology advances and user expectations rise, the industry demands ever greater computing power and more sophisticated algorithms from these chips. More powerful compute, faster image processing, and lower power consumption are the technical hurdles that XR chips must continuously overcome. Only through relentless innovation and breakthroughs can the industry meet user demands for the ultimate XR experience and sustain the sector's growth.
GravityXR deeply researches how chips affect XR experience across imaging, display, perception, and reality-virtual fusion. Ultimate visual experience demands extreme requirements for display resolution, GPU performance, data transmission and processing, and image quality. MR based on VST (Video See Through) imposes even stricter demands on camera image quality, spatial positioning, and 3D reconstruction. The shift toward new natural interaction methods has made hand tracking plus eye tracking essential. Synthesizing these multi-dimensional demands within the constraints of device power consumption, GravityXR is building a chip that delivers the ultimate XR experience. This chip provides targeted performance optimization for XR-specific components (displays, perception sensors, etc.), offering low-latency real-time 4K and 120Hz image rendering, sensor data processing, and mixed reality interaction. Its self-developed algorithms not only reduce motion sickness from visual content and provide certain image correction capabilities to enhance display quality, but also enable entirely new interaction modes for devices.

System-Level Test Platform
Validating Chip Algorithms and Metrics Ahead of Tape-Out
Before taping out its chip, GravityXR collaborated with major industry players to develop a system-level test platform. This partnership enabled early validation of chip algorithms and architecture, demonstration of partial chip function integration, and real-time VST effects. Additionally, the platform demonstrated data integration with the main chip, proving the system's efficient data transmission and processing capabilities — thereby showcasing GravityXR's technical competence and innovation to prospective customers.

GravityXR will continue working with partners to drive technological innovation and advancement, constantly improving product performance and functionality. The company will also actively listen to customer feedback and needs, continuously optimizing and refining its products to serve diverse user requirements. At the same time, it will pursue collaborations with more platforms and product solutions to further expand its influence.

Attracting Quality Industry Partners
Executing with Dedication
Xi Cao, founding partner of lead investor Lisi Capital, commented: "High-definition, low-latency, non-dizzying Video See Through experience is the key to moving spatial computing from gaming consoles into office work and broader consumer markets. What makes this possible is a dedicated co-processor chip. This chip needs to not only fuse sensor data, but also apply AI processing to that data, working with the main control chip to achieve seamless reality-virtual blending and photorealistic effects. GravityXR's team combines cutting-edge understanding of XR hardware and software with high-performance chip R&D experience — they are one of the very few teams globally capable of developing high-performance XR co-processor chips. We believe that in the next-generation spatial computing era led by Apple, GravityXR can play a pivotal role in the industry."
GravityXR believes that XR technology aims to create an entirely new world fusing virtual and reality. This world will be human-centered, offering unprecedented experiences. XR technology will transcend spatial limitations, allowing us to summon objects and devices at will while elevating our perception, memory, and cognitive abilities to extraordinary levels. This will fundamentally transform human-computer interaction, making it entirely scenario-adaptive — even to the point where we no longer perceive the interaction itself, achieving an anytime, anywhere, ubiquitous experience. GravityXR is committed to starting from user experience to deliver more realistic, immersive, and personalized ultimate XR sensory experiences, enabling people to move freely between virtual and reality.
