Building the Home Mobile Hardware Terminal for the AI Era

On May 26, 2025, Lxson (Suzhou Lxson Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd.) announced the completion of a nine-figure RMB angel+ funding round, led by Jinqiu Fund with follow-on participation from existing investor Monolith and other institutions.

This marks Lxson's second funding round in three months, bringing the total angel-round financing to nearly 300 million RMB. The proceeds will primarily fund team expansion and the mass-production development of its product platforms.

Founded in December 2024, Lxson was established by Renjie Guo, who entered Xi'an Jiaotong University's youth class at age 15. He holds undergraduate degrees in energy and power engineering and economics from the university's Jinhe Center for Economic Research, and a graduate degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Previously, Guo served as president of Dreame's China operations, managing a team of over 1,500 people and driving annual revenue past 6 billion RMB while spearheading the brand's premium transformation to become China's top-ranked cleaning appliance company by market share.

In the robot vacuum sector — one of the first segments in robotics to reach full market competition over the past decade — Guo and his team also created multiple industry-defining products, achieving 50x growth in three years.

As a young technology company, Lxson focuses on developing general-purpose small embodied intelligence robots for the home, aiming to build "the next generation of household mobile hardware terminals for the robot-plus-AI era."

Targeting both indoor and "indoor plus outdoor" household scenarios, Lxson has completed development of two product platforms: Z-Bot, an 18-DOF small embodied intelligence robot standing 50 centimeters tall, and W-Bot, a tracked robot with stable outdoor mobility capabilities.

Drawing on proven expertise in household robotics, Lxson treats robot form factors as a solution in themselves, leveraging robotic locomotion capabilities and AI-powered interaction to create general-purpose small embodied intelligence robots for the home — with the goal of becoming a new generation of household mobile hardware terminals that genuinely serve diverse user needs.

On the technology front, Lxson focuses on long-term solutions for small embodied robots in household environments, building sustainable moats around joint modules, motion control, and interaction models. Its form factors span multiple platforms from humanoid to tracked configurations adapted to different scenarios. In motion control, it has completed development and deployment of both traditional algorithms and reinforcement learning. For interaction, beyond deploying large language models, the company has developed a proprietary consciousness-biomimetic model, with the ultimate aim of making robots truly emotionally present as family members.

The team combines an influx of young, innovative technical talent with seasoned engineering veterans from the mature robot vacuum industry, creating an organic blend of "innovation plus experience" that ensures both technological leadership and manufacturing execution.

As of last month, Lxson's headcount has surpassed 30, with R&D personnel accounting for 85%. Team members hold degrees from leading institutions including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Carnegie Mellon University. The roster includes a CTO and product line president with 20 years of experience at a top robot vacuum company, along with 12 recent PhDs and graduate students specializing in robot motion control, computer vision, and related fields.

"We need to balance the innovation that young people bring with the execution experience of mature robotics industry veterans — we want young people to come here to change the world, while holding ourselves to the highest global product standards from day one," said Guo.
