Accelerating the Mass-Market Scale-Up of Consumer Embodied AI Products

Lxson, a consumer-grade embodied intelligence robotics company, has officially announced the completion of a 200 million yuan "Angel++" funding round.

Led by Eastern Bell Capital, with existing investor IDG Capital continuing to participate, the proceeds will primarily fund R&D on core proprietary components, robot body and motion control technology development, and iterative upgrades to the company's consciousness-biomimetic model — all aimed at accelerating the large-scale commercialization of consumer-grade embodied intelligence products. Monolith was the company's first investor and has continued to support Lxson in subsequent rounds.

This marks the third funding round Lxson has closed within nine months of its founding. To date, the company's total angel round funding has reached nearly 500 million yuan.

Lxson founder Renjie Guo was born in 1997. He entered the Xi'an Jiaotong University Youth Class at age 15, majoring in energy and power engineering with additional studies at the Jinhe Center for Economic Research, and earned his graduate degree in economics from the London School of Economics. He previously served as president of Dreame's China operations, where over three years he grew annual revenue to 6 billion yuan and built a team exceeding 1,500 people.

Since founding Lxson, Guo has combined embodied intelligence technology with his experience running a consumer robotics business at multi-billion-yuan scale, aiming to create the world's first embodied intelligence product for consumer-grade applications.

Dual-Driven by Technology and Experience

Building Core Competitiveness in Consumer-Grade Embodied Intelligence

Lxson has built its competitive edge around top-tier talent from day one. The team has now expanded to 90 people, with R&D staff accounting for over 80%, forming a product-oriented, highly efficient technical team. Core R&D members hold degrees from leading institutions including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, UC Berkeley, and Carnegie Mellon.

More notably, the team has recently attracted top talent from multiple world-class AI research institutions, strengthening its capabilities in high-precision motion control, multi-modal perception fusion, and robot body structure — further reinforcing Lxson's long-term technical moat. This helps the company build a positive flywheel in foundational technology R&D and injects stronger technical momentum into the innovation and iteration of consumer-grade embodied intelligence products.

The team pairs two product line presidents and a CTO, each with two decades of consumer robotics experience, with top embodied intelligence talent — creating a rich blend of technical development experience and academic innovation that provides a solid foundation for breakthroughs in embodied intelligence and subsequent mass production.

Product Deployment Enabling Multiple Scenarios

Multi-Scenario Validation of Commercial Potential

On product deployment and scenario expansion, Lxson continues to push consumer-grade embodied intelligence products from technical concept toward real-world application.

Its tracked robot W-bot (nickname WaWa) has appeared at two premier global tech events — the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) and the World Robot Conference (WRC) — where it became a viral photo spot thanks to its precise motion control, fluid human-robot interaction, adaptability in complex environments, and approachable design. It earned wide acclaim from industry experts, partners, and media, demonstrating the company's initial exploration in consumer-grade embodied intelligence.

More breakthrough was W-bot's crossover into sports: on July 20, 2025, it debuted as the first robot team leader in the Jiangsu Super League, appearing at Suzhou's home stadium in a "technology + sports" innovation fusion that opened an entirely new model for embodied robots in public sports scenarios. This attempt didn't just break down barriers between tech products and mass sports contexts, letting more people directly experience the appeal of embodied intelligence technology — it also opened possibilities for W-bot's application across multiple industries.

With its unique combination of interactive capabilities and load-bearing transport capacity, W-bot has already attracted意向订单 from sectors including retail, education, real estate, and pet services, and is poised to become a participant across hundreds of industries.

Earlier, the first-generation WAWA prototype began market validation, making its public debut at JD.com's 618 Summer Concert on May 31, 2025, and successfully selling for 29,799 yuan at a JD.com auction event on June 3. This provided initial validation of market recognition of the product's value and accumulated valuable experience for the subsequent scaled launch of consumer-grade products.

Multi-Product Portfolio Meeting Diverse Scenario Needs

Platform-Based Hardware and Software Development

The company is advancing two core product platforms in parallel: Z-Bot, a 60cm-tall small embodied intelligence robot with 20 degrees of freedom, and W-Bot, a tracked robot combining interactive capabilities with locomotion and payload capacity. Targeting the "indoor" and "outdoor" needs of home scenarios respectively, both are progressing steadily according to plan with a highly platformized internal R&D system.

To support the company's long-term rapid iteration strategy, Lxson will further expand its product matrix to cover more diverse consumer scenarios.

From an industry development perspective, China's embodied intelligence market is showing strong growth momentum with continuously increasing global influence — particularly in the consumer-grade segment, which has entered a critical acceleration phase.

As a pioneer and early mover in consumer-grade embodied intelligence, Lxson has established differentiated competitive barriers through technology autonomy, product scenarioization, and team specialization.

Following this funding round, Lxson will further increase R&D investment, accelerate core technology iteration and product mass production, and push consumer-grade embodied intelligence from "cutting-edge technology" toward "mass consumer product" — helping China's embodied intelligence industry become a global leader.
