Chen Yu, Partner at Yunqi Capital, made the list again. The F stands for Fancy — boundless imagination — and Future — forward-looking vision. Chen Yu, who made the "F40 China Young Investors" list again this year, joined Yunqi Capital as a VP in June 2014 and was promoted to Partner in early 2021. He focuses on investments in big data, cloud computing, autonomous driving, and robotics.
He previously worked as an engineer at Google's New York and Shanghai offices and served as CTO of a listed Chinese company. He has backed a number of standout projects, including leading the Series A investment in PingCAP, China's first open-source unicorn, serving as the earliest institutional investor in Keenon Robotics, the world's largest service robot manufacturer by shipment volume, and leading the angel round in DeepRoute.ai, the first autonomous driving company to offer trial rides in Shenzhen's central business district.
In 2020, Yao Feng, Managing Director at Yunqi Capital, also made the "F40 China Young Investors" list — and was the only post-90s investor on it. (👉Learn more)
