Possibly the Most Important New Year's Greeting of 2023 | A Yunqi Capital Year-End Gathering Note

➤➤➤ As the year draws to a close, Yunqi Capital's annual year-end retreat has arrived once again. In years past, we've gathered in Chongming Island, Chaoshan, and Taiwu. This time, we headed to Anji — "China's First Bamboo Hometown." Anji takes its name from the Book of Songs: "An qie ji xi" — peaceful and auspicious, a place of comfort and beauty. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, we spent four full days looking back, reflecting on wins and losses, and wandering through bamboo forests.

This marks Yunqi Capital's ninth year. Our passion for tech investing remains unchanged. Our commitment to value creation remains unchanged. Our courage to actively explore uncharted territory remains unchanged.

Movement and Stillness:

Bamboo Forest Hike & LEGO Workshop

Given that those recovering from COVID shouldn't overexert themselves, we opted to breathe in the bamboo forests, embrace nature, and find a quiet corner of poetry.

Green is Anji's truest color. Dense forests, secluded valleys, bamboo seas, and tea plantations — all of it refreshes the soul. Anji Great Bamboo Sea is one of China's "Four Great Bamboo Seas," the largest bamboo culture eco-tourism destination in the country's southeast, and the filming location for the Oscar-winning film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Bamboo also symbolizes resilience and vigorous growth.

The Yunqi team wandered through it all, savoring long-missed deep breaths, climbing high for distant views, taking in the scenery — pure contentment. For the new year, our wish is to see beyond — to stand higher, look farther, and explore a bigger world.

As an organization that loves learning and thinking, we weren't satisfied with just strengthening our bodies — we wanted to exercise our minds too. At the LEGO workshop, we unleashed our creativity and unlocked our potential, piecing together our hopes for the year ahead.

QiSi Open Forum & Yunqi Internal Training

Organizational evolution is the fundamental logic and eternal pursuit of a resilient team. Doing early-stage tech B2B investing well and earnestly shepherding companies through long-term growth requires us to continuously hone our fundamentals.

So we organized an open, collaborative QiSi Open Forum and a high-efficiency, high-quality Yunqi Internal Training. Team members shared knowledge, learned together, and reviewed lessons learned — front, middle, and back offices communicating and collaborating, growing together through the collision of ideas and strengthening team cohesion.
