How VLAs Are Pioneering a New Future for Driving

Yunqi Capital angel-round portfolio company DeepRoute has hit another monthly delivery record — cumulative mass production deliveries in September surpassed 30,000 units. This milestone follows the company's first breakthrough of 10,000 units in June, signaling that DeepRoute's combined assisted driving solution has entered a phase of comprehensive acceleration.

To date, DeepRoute has achieved mass production delivery of over 100,000 vehicles equipped with urban navigation-assisted driving systems, spanning multiple vehicle categories including SUVs, MPVs, off-road vehicles, and sedans. By the end of 2025, nearly 200,000 vehicles carrying DeepRoute's combined assisted driving solution are expected to reach consumers. These production achievements validate the market adaptability of the company's platform solution, while also laying a solid foundation for the commercial deployment of its VLA (Vision-Language-Action) model.

Since its founding, DeepRoute has remained committed to building "general artificial intelligence for the physical world," leading transformation in the AI industry through innovative technology. In August this year, DeepRoute unveiled DeepRoute IO 2.0, its next-generation assisted driving platform powered by the VLA model, making it one of the first AI companies in the industry to deploy VLA models.

The DeepRoute IO 2.0 platform is designed around "multi-modal, multi-chip, multi-vehicle" adaptability, supporting both LiDAR and pure vision configurations, and enabling customized deployment across multiple mainstream passenger vehicle platforms. Several designated cooperation projects have already been secured.

The VLA model integrates three core capabilities — vision, language, and action. Compared to traditional end-to-end models, the VLA model possesses powerful chain-of-thought reasoning abilities, overcoming the black-box problem of conventional end-to-end approaches by connecting, analyzing, and inferring causal relationships from information. Additionally, it comes with a naturally integrated massive knowledge base and stronger generalization capabilities, enabling better adaptation to complex and ever-changing real-world road environments.

In September this year, DeepRoute's cumulative mass production deliveries crossed the 100,000-unit threshold. "One hundred thousand is just a starting point. As the high-end assisted driving market accelerates, we believe companies with core technical capabilities like DeepRoute will see even greater market opportunities," said Zhou Guang, the company's founder and CEO.

As the earliest investment institution to accompany and witness DeepRoute's growth journey, we look forward to DeepRoute continuing to expand application boundaries around its VLA model, pioneering a bright future for AI-powered driving across passenger vehicle mass production and the broader Road AGI ecosystem.
