Hard Kr has learned exclusively that smart imaging pioneer brand "hohem" recently completed a Series B funding round exceeding 100 million RMB, jointly led by Shunwei Capital and Legend Capital, with Xiaomi, Yunqi Capital, Tongchuang Weiyue, and Yunmu Capital participating as co-investors. Gengxin Capital served as the exclusive financial advisor for this round. The funds will be used for product technology R&D, market promotion, and channel expansion.

Shenzhen Hohem Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "hohem") was founded in 2014, specializing in AI-powered imaging equipment. As the originator of AI tracking stabilizers, hohem takes a user-centric approach, integrating smart technology into imaging to bring users more effortless and efficient smart filming experiences.

As smartphone photography capabilities continue to improve, consumer demand for high-quality video content has grown rapidly. In today's content production, beyond ensuring excellent shooting stability during high-speed motion, hohem recognized that with the accelerated development of livestreaming, short-form video, and travel scenarios, users need a portable cinematographer to free their hands, put themselves in the spotlight, and capture life's beautiful moments.

In January 2016, hohem debuted the world's first smartphone stabilizer with built-in app-based face tracking at CES in the United States, thereby pioneering the AI tracking stabilizer category. Handheld stabilizers gradually moved from professional niche photography circles into the mainstream user market.

With continued investment in technology, in 2021 hohem innovatively applied edge AI capabilities to smart imaging, releasing the world's first smartphone stabilizer with an edge AI tracking module, enabling portrait tracking in any app without Bluetooth connection. This October, based on next-generation AI technology, hohem launched the world's first AI touchscreen smartphone stabilizer — the hohem M7, integrating AI preview, visual parameter adjustment, and remote touch control functions.

The hohem M7 innovatively adopts a detachable touchscreen controller, equipped with hohem's self-developed edge AI tracking module, and pioneers an AI visual preview touchscreen interactive visual tracking system. Simply frame the target object or person to achieve rapid recognition and intelligent tracking, greatly expanding creative possibilities and improving shooting efficiency and content quality for vloggers, livestreamers, and other independent creators.

Beyond professional-grade smartphone stabilizers, hohem also launched the lightweight, accessible X series and V series stabilizers for everyday filming enthusiasts. Their compact, portable foldable design greatly enhances user convenience while retaining professional-grade stabilization and smart interactive features, further lowering the barrier to entry and making high-quality video creation more accessible.

Chen Min, founder of hohem, told Hard Kr, "Smartphone stabilizers are a classic tool-type device, evolving from a productivity tool for professional photographers and enthusiast users to an everyday filming 'companion' for general consumers — from compact convenience and ease of use to edge AI integration and innovation. In this process, hohem as an industry pioneer has continuously pushed the stabilizer category toward intelligence and mass-market appeal through sustained technological innovation and product optimization. Given the evolving social dynamics of streaming platforms and broader distribution trends, we firmly believe the AI stabilizer category is entering a rapid breakthrough phase of new growth."

Currently, hohem has ranked #1 in Douyin's gimbal category sales for three consecutive years. During the recent Double 11 shopping festival, sales hit new highs, securing #1 across store, livestream, and product rankings in Douyin's 3C digital accessories category, as well as champion in both sales volume and revenue in Tmall's Double 11 early access gimbal category.

On the global front, hohem's overseas markets currently account for over 60% of total revenue. Multiple AI tracking stabilizer products have entered over 50 countries and regions worldwide, and the brand has become a category leader on overseas platforms including Amazon.

Following this funding round, the company will increase R&D investment in AI technology, imaging technology, and high-precision automatic control technology, continuously enhance product innovation, deploy richer application scenarios, and drive the globalization of smart imaging technology through innovative product experiences and solid product quality.
