Astribot

#Next-gen AI Robot #Hardware-Software Synergy #2023 Angel Round

Yunqi Capital angel-round project Astribot is dedicated to enabling billions of people to have AI robot assistants, leading the "AI + Robotics" technology revolution.

In April 2024, its self-developed AI robot S1 achieved a breakthrough in "hardware-software synergy." It features an intelligent "brain" (software) that supports multiple data collection methods including video, motion capture, and teleoperation, and can complete learning and training through reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and multimodal large models. It also has an agile "body" (hardware) that integrates complex systems for control, sensing, transmission, and drive, with operational capabilities approaching industrial robot speed and precision. Its modular components can be flexibly assembled for different needs.

Among robots of comparable specifications, S1 delivers "strongest manipulation performance." It has already been connected to large model testing and is expected to complete commercialization within 2024.

Founder Lai Jie has 16 years of robotics R&D experience. He was the first employee of Tencent's robotics lab and led the Baidu "Xiaodu Robot" team, spearheading development of Tencent's wheel-legged robot Ollie and several other novel robots. The team's backgrounds include Tencent, Google, UBTECH, Baidu, and Huawei, bringing extensive experience in frontier technology R&D and commercialization.

The company's core product is an ultra-lightweight humanoid robotic arm with fully independent intellectual property rights.
