First "Global Open Source Contribution Ranking" Released, Three PingCAP Co-Founders Make the List | Cloud News · Open Source
Ranked solely by contribution.
>>> Recently, BenchCouncil (International Open Benchmark Council) invited multiple independent scientists to select 145 representative achievements from open-source contributions dating back to the 1960s — or from work that significantly influenced open-source development.
Merit alone determined the rankings. A total of 264 individuals made the list, including 24 of Chinese descent. All three PingCAP co-founders — Qi Liu, Dongxu Huang, and Qiu Cui — made the list, following Yunqi Capital's lead investment in the company's Series A round.
