"Quanyu Industrial" Closes Nearly RMB 100 Million Series A Round | Yunqi Capital
Empowering Digital and Intelligent Transformation in the Foundry Industry

➤➤➤ Recently, Hunan Quanyu Industrial Equipment Co., Ltd. ("Quanyu Industrial"), a company specializing in casting grinding robot technology, completed a nearly 100 million RMB Series A funding round. The capital will be primarily used for production capacity expansion, product iteration, and the implementation of new business models.
Yunqi Capital's Perspective
Yunqi Capital has always focused on "Technological Innovation, Industrial Empowerment." Robotics is a critical track that Yunqi has long paid attention to and continued to bet on. In this sector, Yunqi has invested in outstanding companies including Keenon Robotics, Neolix, Yizao Technology, Dafang Intelligent, and RealMan Intelligent.
"Casting is the mother of industry," said Feng Yao, Managing Director at Yunqi Capital. The industry represents massive market potential, and grinding is one of its irreplaceable processes. Because castings often develop irregular deformations and burrs during production, achieving flexible and precise grinding through vision has become critical. Quanyu is one of the few teams globally capable of flexible grinding. We are optimistic about Quanyu's product innovation and industry reputation, and believe that amid the trend of production capacity upgrades, the company will help drive digital and intelligent transformation in the casting industry.

Achieving Full Automation, Enhancing Equipment Stability
The inherent characteristics of casting processes result in poor consistency and complex variety in casting blanks. Meanwhile, the grinding process itself, along with the metallic dust it generates and the harsh casting environment, poses significant challenges to equipment stability.
Through continuous iteration and optimization of multiple core technologies — including 3D vision algorithms, robot body technology, and rigid/flexible grinding tool series — Quanyu Industrial's grinding robots have developed fused perception capabilities. Even when castings exhibit deformation or mold misalignment, the equipment maintains grinding precision within ±0.5mm. Quanyu has also solved the challenge of casting blank positioning, enabling one-click production for multi-variety, small-batch orders that foundries require. Currently, the company's grinding robot products have penetrated emerging casting segments including construction machinery counterweight castings and machine tool castings.
In 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the 14th Five-Year Plan for Robotics Industry Development to accelerate the industry's growth, and vertical specialization has become an industry consensus. As the foundational sector of industry, casting is also accelerating industrial upgrading driven by national environmental protection and capacity replacement policies, fueling further expansion in the casting grinding market.

Products That "Work Well and Work Reliably"
Founded in late 2019, Quanyu Industrial's core team has focused since 2012 on the bottleneck process of the casting industry — cleaning and grinding — diligently applying robotics technology to this field. It is currently the only team in the industry to independently develop solutions for industry challenges such as casting deformation and mixed-line production.
In just over three years since its founding, Quanyu Industrial has completed the modular and serialized R&D of its grinding robot products, covering numerous casting segments including automotive, engines, construction machinery, rail transit, and machine tools. The company has provided standardized grinding stations, production lines, and workshop-level equipment and services to multiple leading customers across different casting sectors, including Weichai, Yuchai, CRRC, ASIMCO International Casting, and China Aerospace.
"You have to be prepared before the wind arrives, so you can catch it and stay steady," said Wu Zhenyu, CEO of Quanyu Industrial. "It's precisely because our team has pushed casting grinding robot products to the extreme — making equipment that both works well and works reliably on the factory floor, creating value for customers — that we've generated substantial repeat business. For example, ASIMCO International Casting, one of our earliest customers, has signed ten phases of contracts with us. This year they're investing in a new 60,000-ton factory, and all the robotic automation projects inside will be handled by Quanyu Industrial. While continuously solidifying our product reputation, Quanyu will also keep contributing to the digital and intelligent transformation of China's casting industry."
