Yunqi Capital | Astribot Raises Hundreds of Millions of RMB in Consecutive Series A and A+ Rounds, With Yunqi Capital Continuing to Invest
Accelerating the Industrialization of AI Robots

On April 10, Astribot announced the completion of its Series A and A+ funding rounds, raising several hundred million RMB. The rounds were led by Jinqiu Fund and Ant Group, with follow-on investments from existing shareholders including Yunqi Capital and Daotong Capital.
Embodied intelligence is one of the sectors Yunqi Capital has been systematically investing in. As the definer of the "Design for AI" innovation paradigm in the humanoid robotics industry, Astribot is dedicated to building AI robot assistants with human-level operational capabilities through an integrated software-hardware system architecture. In 2023, Yunqi became an angel-round investor in Astribot, witnessing its breakthroughs in world-model exploration and the practical application of general embodied intelligence technologies.
In this edition of Yunqi Capital, we take you through Astribot's latest business and R&D developments.
Astribot's fully self-developed Astribot S1 robot has drawn significant industry attention for its breakthrough technologies. By integrating its proprietary cable-driven transmission design, the company has overcome the technical bottlenecks of traditional rigid robots — high inertia, low energy efficiency, and low transparency — achieving outstanding performance including a 1:1 payload-to-weight ratio, end-effector speeds exceeding 10 m/s (32.8 feet per second). Its biomimetic joint structure, combined with a hybrid rigid-flexible body dynamics model, gives the robot human-like flexible manipulation capabilities, demonstrating significant advantages in complex service and precision operation scenarios.

The team has achieved a closed-loop "body + data + model" technology cycle. In embodied intelligence data collection and processing, it has made critical breakthroughs, enabling low-cost, high-efficiency utilization of existing real-world video data and human motion data. Through first-person perspective, it efficiently collects multi-dimensional, high-quality data, achieving human-like multimodal data interaction across vision, touch, and force. On the AI capabilities front, the S1 robot is equipped with a powerful "brain," giving it perception, cognition, and real-time decision-making abilities in complex environments, along with intelligent understanding and multimodal interactive execution capabilities, enabling generalizable operation at the object, task, and environment levels.
Astribot is committed to giving billions of people access to AI robot assistants, promoting human-machine coexistence, co-creation, and mutual success. The Astribot S1 has now gone through three iterations, delivering more powerful and stable dexterous operation capabilities, and is already being deployed in practice with leading universities, enterprises, and data centers. Meanwhile, the team continues to optimize its self-developed end-to-end large model, seeking key breakthroughs in embodied foundation models and transfer capabilities. It will also release more practical case studies in the future, joining forces with ecosystem partners to further accelerate the intelligent evolution of physical-world robotics — stay tuned.
