"Embodied Brain" Gains Traction Across Multiple Scenarios

On October 17, Yunqi Capital portfolio company Noematrix announced the completion of a new funding round led by Alibaba, with several existing shareholders following on. Yunqi has backed Noematrix since its Pre-A series.

Founded less than two years ago, Noematrix is advancing its "force-centric" embodied intelligence large model technology, making steady progress on data collection, model training, and human-robot collaborative deployment. This latest round will further accelerate the development of its full-stack embodied intelligence technology and multi-scenario commercialization. Here's the full story.

Noematrix was founded at the end of 2023 and had previously completed several hundred million RMB in Pre-A++ and Pre-A+++ rounds. Since its inception, the company has been steadily building its embodied intelligence capabilities, rapidly iterating on its self-developed physical-world foundation model and its "force-centric" embodied intelligence large model. This year, it launched Noematrix Brain 2.0, an upgraded version of its embodied intelligence brain product. In the push toward real-world deployment, data and model efficiency remain critical challenges. To address this, Noematrix has achieved a series of technical breakthroughs, with its latest R&D results including a robot-agnostic data collection solution, a general-purpose end-to-end model architecture, and a human-robot collaborative large-scale deployment system. The company is working to build out a complete pipeline from data to deployment, spanning the full technical chain from data collection through model pre-training to post-training, accelerating the rollout of its "embodied brain" across multiple scenarios.

Noematrix has already established partnerships with multiple leading companies in retail and home furnishings, and will work together to advance the mass delivery of integrated hardware-software embodied intelligence solutions. Going forward, the company will leverage its advanced large model products and its closed-loop data-to-model capabilities to continue providing customers and partners with embodied intelligence solutions that combine innovation with practical utility.

Noematrix is led by Professor Cewu Lu, a recognized leader in embodied intelligence, bringing together both academic depth and industry experience with full-stack capabilities spanning R&D through commercial delivery. At its core, the company's force-based embodied intelligence brain technology breaks through traditional trajectory control frameworks, building a complete autonomous decision-making system covering perception, cognition, planning, and execution. Drawing on multimodal foundation models and deep force-sensing data accumulation, it achieves high-dimensional understanding of the physical world and dexterous manipulation.
