Yunqi Capital | Windrose Technology Accelerates Global Deployment of New Energy Heavy-Duty Trucks, Completes New Funding Round
Accelerating supply chain deployment and production capacity building in Europe and the US
This year, Xiaomi's entry has kept the new-energy passenger vehicle market buzzing. Driven by dual-carbon policy goals and market demand, commercial vehicle electrification is also advancing rapidly. As a critical component of commercial vehicles, new-energy heavy trucks are drawing increasing attention and accelerating their global expansion.
Recently, Windrose Technology, a pioneer in China's new-energy heavy truck sector, partnered with multiple supply chain players to become the first globally to deploy megawatt-level ultra-fast charging stations, with road tests underway across multiple regions worldwide.
Yunqi Capital co-led Windrose's Series A round, and the company recently secured a new funding round. We believe new energy and autonomous driving are two megatrends transforming the heavy truck and long-haul logistics industries. New-energy heavy trucks offer substantial economic value and ESG significance. We're bullish on Windrose's differentiated product definition capabilities and R&D strength, combined with an international partnership视野 and localized supply chain advantages, to accelerate the global deployment of new-energy heavy trucks.
This edition of Yunqi Capital shares Windrose Technology's global business development. Enjoy.

Windrose Technology is a clean-sheet new-energy intelligent heavy truck total solution provider. Its new-energy intelligent heavy truck products feature entirely new designs across the tri-electric system, electronic and electrical architecture, wire-controlled planning, powertrain, vehicle exterior, and intelligent cockpit.
The company's next-generation electric heavy truck achieves 670 km of range at a 49-ton gross vehicle weight, while equipped with an 800V high-voltage platform and fast-charging solution capable of adding 400 km of range in 36 minutes.
Windrose Technology is actively expanding into global markets. In April, it began road tests in Europe and will establish its headquarters factory in Belgium; in May, it will conduct demonstrations and road tests in the US, with several thousand units in initial customer purchase orders. The company will further develop and produce its next-generation electric heavy trucks, with vehicle testing and operational route testing across China, the US, and Europe.

Additionally, Windrose Technology will accelerate supply chain layout and production capacity building in Europe and the US. In the charging infrastructure sector, the first batch of 960kW megawatt-level fast chargers from Windrose's partnership with Goodman Group and BorgWarner will be completed and put into operation. Windrose is also collaborating with multiple global charging operators and manufacturers.
Windrose Technology's partners include Decathlon, Goodman Group, Rokin Logistics, Kerry Logistics, and TÜV SÜD. Windrose's first electric heavy truck will successively enter the Chinese, European, and US markets starting in 2024.
