Industry Connect, Open Discussion on Embodied Intelligence
During the opening session, Sang Yu welcomed and thanked all attending alumni. He noted that Tsinghua University's Department of Electronic Engineering is arguably the academic department with the largest R&D investment in embodied intelligence domestically, and expressed hope to pioneer new models of industry collaboration with fellow alumni.
Wenbo Ding, Deputy Secretary-General of the Tsinghua Alumni Association EEA Branch and Secretary-General of the Shenzhen Tsinghua Alumni Association EEA Branch, pointed out that on the boundless track of embodied intelligence, Tsinghua EEA professionals should explore development paths that combine innovation with disciplinary distinctiveness.

In the featured sharing session, Yao Song, Director of the International Center for Advanced Technology Application Promotion (Shenzhen); Yu Jincheng, Assistant Researcher at Tsinghua University's Department of Electronic Engineering; and Mao Yinian, Chair of the Meituan Robotics Research Institute, shared perspectives on the current state and trends of embodied intelligence from three angles: policy direction, academic innovation, and industry practice.
These three Tsinghua EEA alumni also collectively identified common technical challenges in current embodied intelligence architecture design, data collection, and model optimization. They proposed that future development should be guided by national strategy, deepen industry-university-research collaborative innovation, build integrated talent cultivation systems, and continuously strengthen China's global competitive advantage in this field.
