On May 28, 2025, marking its first anniversary as an independent operation, D-Robotics — a subsidiary of Horizon Robotics-W (9660.HK) — announced the completion of a $100 million Series A funding round. The round drew support from numerous domestic and international investors, with Hillhouse, 5Y Capital, Linear Capital, Hermitage Capital, Unity Ventures, Vertex Growth, Monolith, Dunhong Capital, Feidian Capital, Plum Ventures, and Huangpu River Capital all participating, injecting strong momentum into D-Robotics' accelerated buildout of an embodied intelligence ecosystem.
Since its founding, D-Robotics has remained committed to its founding vision of "becoming the Wintel of the robotics era." The company is dedicated to building full-stack development infrastructure that integrates hardware and software with edge-cloud synergy, making the development of smarter robots simpler. To accelerate the deployment of embodied intelligent robots, D-Robotics will officially launch the RDK S100 robotics development kit in June, targeted at embodied intelligence applications. The platform delivers hundred-TOPS-level compute power with a powerful heterogeneous architecture design, making it the industry's first single-SoC compute-and-control integrated platform capable of collaborative computing for robotic perception and motion control. The platform has already secured early adoption from several top-tier industry partners, including Leju Robotics, LimX Dynamics, Realman, the Institute for AI Industry Research (AIR) at Tsinghua University, Qizhi Technology, and Guoxunxinwei.
In the home consumer robotics market — where user bases are largest, spanning robot vacuums and robotic lawn mowers — D-Robotics' Sunrise series intelligent compute chips have been fully deployed across the flagship product lines of industry leaders including ECOVACS and Cloud Whale. To date, shipments have exceeded 5 million units, growing by millions annually to bring intelligent innovation to users worldwide.
While deepening its presence in the consumer market, D-Robotics has also actively cultivated a developer ecosystem, empowering over 200 small and medium-sized makers and incubating nearly 100 emerging categories of intelligent robots. These span golf robots, pool robots, tennis robots, home companion robots, and other innovative forms.
