How will they use AI to fight time, scarcity, and isolation — and find the boundaries of creativity?
Can AI help us survive? But can it help us live like humans?
After more than two months of preparation, from May 15–18, 2025, the first cohort of "AI survival explorers" will gather in Shanghai to embark on a 72-hour AI survival challenge.
From hundreds of applications, we've selected eight participants: Gen Z college students, emerging AIGC creators, serial entrepreneurs, AI PhDs, internet product managers, indie developers, Big Tech employees... Each will bring their own questions, skills, and curiosity into a room with no food, no smartphone, no browser, no apps — only AI tools.
We sincerely thank every applicant — it's your curiosity, enthusiasm, and imagination that made this unprecedented challenge possible.

About the 72-Hour AI Survival Challenge
This is a 72-hour AI survival challenge initiated by 5Y Capital. During this challenge, you'll spend 72 hours in a sealed room with only a pre-installed AI-equipped computer with internet access and limited survival funds, using AI tools to build a closed-loop survival system. From securing basic necessities, to developing systems to solve problems, to creating unexpected surprises — every step will test your adaptability, creativity, and mastery of the tools.
