Agora x 5Y Capital | 2022 Supersonic Program Spring Cohort Wraps, Top Eight Announced

"See you later!" "See you offline!"

On the evening of July 16, as partners exchanged these parting words, the Spring 2022 Supersonic Program wrapped up its final closing ceremony, officially marking the end of the spring cohort. Over the course of three months, 20 startup teams went through multi-module coursework, discussions and refinement with Agora's technical and product buddies, and one-on-one coaching from 5Y Capital and other VC partners. In the end, eight partner companies stood out and advanced to the next round of deeper resource support.

Beyond gaining more connection and resource opportunities, the top four teams will also compete in the second RTE Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition final at the October RTE Conference, going head-to-head with the top four from the fall cohort and overseas startup teams for the annual top three spots. All Supersonic partners will continue to receive full support from the "Super Co-Creation Accelerator"!

Closing Ceremony Is Not the End, But the Starting Point for RTE Innovation

Permanent Startup Partners of Supersonic Are Born

On the afternoon of the 16th, the spring Supersonic Program held its intense internal demo day on partner Gotin's online platform. Startup teams presented their carefully honed projects one by one to a panel of 10 judges for evaluation. The judges scored each project across six dimensions: team, product, technology, operations, strategy, and real-time interaction scenarios, ultimately selecting the top eight. These eight companies span social, API interface management, metaverse, IoT, education, virtual humans, and other sectors.

Due to pandemic-related impacts, the core curriculum of the Spring 2022 Supersonic Partner Camp was delivered entirely online. Through practical experience, participants genuinely felt the growing influence of real-time interaction in the innovation and entrepreneurship process: no matter the distance, everyone could gather as if in the same room. Precisely because of real-time interaction, the Supersonic Program was able to bring in more domestic and international partners and instructors, and host a richer variety of online activities — such as sandbox exercises and whiteboard discussions — pushing partners to think more deeply about their businesses.

Beyond remote communication, this cohort of Supersonic partners also demonstrated how real-time interaction is gradually penetrating across all industries. We believe even more impressive real-time interaction application scenarios will emerge in the future.

After the closing ceremony, no one said "goodbye." Instead, everyone spontaneously said "see you later." Because we all knew this wasn't the end, but a new starting point for all startup partners to build connections with the Supersonic Program, with Agora's "Super Co-Creation Accelerator," and with Agora's full ecosystem strength. Partners will become permanent startup partners of the Supersonic Program, continuing to develop and grow with ecosystem support, becoming a core force in the real-time interaction field.

Fall Supersonic Startup Partner Camp Now Recruiting

Recruitment for the Fall 2022 Supersonic Startup Partner Camp is still underway! We welcome startups in the real-time interaction field to join the Supersonic family! We will conduct online conversations with qualified applicants, and ultimately 20 companies will enter the fall cohort.

Fall Schedule

• Now through July 25: Project recruitment
• Early August–October*: Startup partner camp courses, activities, resource matching, and internal selection demo day
• Late October: RTE Scenario Innovation Competition final
