FreeS Fund Wins Three Awards at ChinaVenture's 2018 Annual Rankings

On April 17, 2019, at the 13th China Investment Annual Summit hosted by ChinaVenture Group, ChinaVenture announced its "ChinaVenture 2018 Annual Rankings," with FreeS Fund receiving three honors —

• "ChinaVenture 2018 Top 50 Best Foreign VC Firms in China," ranked 26th;
• "ChinaVenture 2018 Top 100 Best VC Firms in China," ranked 54th;
• Additionally, in "ChinaVenture 2018 Top 10 Best Internet Exit Deals in China," 360 Finance — an early investment by FreeS Fund — made the list.

The ChinaVenture 2018 Annual Rankings for Chinese VC and PE firms were compiled by ChinaVenture Research, drawing on ChinaVenture's research capabilities and its robust CVSource data system. Through questionnaire surveys, interviews, data verification, and aggregation, the data underwent standardized processing and was ranked by overall score to produce what is widely regarded as the industry's most authoritative, comprehensive, and objective list.

This year's evaluation assessed firms across four quantitative dimensions: fundraising, investment, portfolio management, and exits, while also weighing market influence and reputation through a combined quantitative and qualitative approach. The process spanned data screening, questionnaire responses, data verification, research, and final selection, covering over a thousand private equity investment institutions in China. More than 50,000 private equity investment and exit projects were categorized, scored, and ranked to determine the final list of eligible Chinese equity investment firms.
