The agricultural market is massive. In recent years, shifts in land policy, demographic changes, and the rural revitalization strategy have created significant growth opportunities. At the same time, gaps in workforce quality, informatization, and commercialization have made upgrading the sector even more challenging.
Starting from tech-enabled crop protection services, MaiFei has innovatively built a closed-loop business integrating farmland data collection and analysis, agricultural supply chains, farming operations, and financial services — truly achieving on-the-ground industrial implementation. In the year since FreeS Fund invested, MaiFei's business has grown several-fold, continuously expanding its product and service boundaries. We hope this new round of funding will further strengthen MaiFei's technology and service capabilities, scale its operations, and contribute to rural revitalization.

Capturing the "Emotional State" of Crops, MaiFei Technology Raises Over 100 Million RMB in Series A

MaiFei Technology, a smart agriculture big data service provider focused on visual spectral technology, today officially announced the completion of a Series A funding round exceeding 100 million RMB — the largest single-round financing in China's smart agriculture sector to date. The round was led by GF Qianhe, with follow-on investments from Hupan Shannan and CASSTAR. Existing investors from the Pre-A round — GaoJie Capital, BV Baidu Venture, and FreeS Fund — also continued their participation.
Huaze Gong, CEO of MaiFei Technology, stated that the proceeds will primarily fund optimization and refinement of the company's technical systems and products, business model upgrades, overseas market expansion, and the launch of its data services segment — building out MaiFei Smart Agriculture's self-reinforcing closed-loop capabilities.

MaiFei Technology uses visual spectral intelligent monitoring to achieve smart perception of crop physiological conditions. Through technological means, it generates scientific variable-rate pesticide application prescription maps and carries out "precision scientific pesticide application" operations, providing precision scientific services to agricultural growers.
In 2019, based on business development and strategic positioning, MaiFei formally organized into three business segments: Technology, Agriculture, and Space. The company now employs over 300 people nationwide. Its services cover more than 33 municipal districts and counties, 142 townships, and 435 natural villages. Variable-rate pesticide application services centered on Hubei, Liaoning, Jiangsu, and Anhui provinces exceed 2 million mu (approximately 133,000 hectares). This year, MaiFei Technology will also fully enter overseas smart agriculture markets, officially beginning its international expansion.
