FreeS Celebrates 6 Years

On August 16, we celebrated our 6th anniversary in Beijing. The office was decked out in all kinds of "666" decorations, and the refreshment table featured an eye-catching matrix of Coca-Cola cans printed with phrases like "Independent Thinking," "Open-Mindedness," and "Diligence and Positivity." The team also designed a T-shirt for Feng Shu with the words "Curious About the World" — a tribute to our team-building trips across the country.
Though COVID-19 kept us from our planned 8-day Xinjiang retreat, the support and companionship we share made August 16 a warm and memorable day. We all wore T-shirts with a record player icon on the back, wishing everyone in the FreeS Family the ability to play their own beautiful music in work and life.
Over the past six years, we've steadily strengthened our investment focus across three sectors: consumer and TMT, high-tech, and biotech. We've accompanied innovative companies through every stage — from 0 to 1, from 1 to 10, and from 10 to 100. What hasn't changed is our commitment to "doing what's right, not what's easy." Exploring, striving, and pushing upward — that's our shared foundation. There's still so much ahead for us to create. Let's stay genuine, keep getting better, and build something lasting together!

We're inviting more talented people to join us as we embark on our seventh year. We've evolved into a full-cycle fund management company driven by early-stage investing, with active positions in growth and late-stage deals as well. Across consumer/TMT, high-tech, and biotech, FreeS Fund has invested in over 150 innovative companies.
Our portfolio includes listed companies such as Three Squirrels, 360 DigiTech, Uber Global, and Unity, alongside numerous high-growth innovators including Qingtao Development, XtalPi, Patpat, Coyote Bioscience, Yifei Automation, Saturnbird, Yanming Biotech, and Singleron.

On August 17, Huxiu and Baize Capital released their inaugural investor rankings, recognizing annual MVIPs, top investors by sector, and top firms. FreeS Fund was named among the "Top 10 Best Investment Firms in Digital Healthcare 2021," with partner Rui Ma ranking among the "Top 10 Best Investors in Digital Healthcare 2021."
After in-depth research, comprehensive evaluation, and careful deliberation of nominees' investment, exit, and overall performance, Huxiu and Baize Capital produced this authoritative list. FreeS Fund selected for Qimingchuangfu's "Top 10 Early-Stage USD Investment Firms — H1 2021"
On August 24, Qimingchuangfu, drawing on the Qimingpian data platform, released its "H1 2021 Investment Firm Rankings," evaluating early-stage investors, venture capital firms, private equity firms, and financial advisors in the primary market. FreeS Fund was selected for the "Top 10 Early-Stage USD Investment Firms — H1 2021" list.
Based on Qimingpian's global primary market database, the rankings were compiled through desktop research, surveys, self-nominations, on-site visits, and phone interviews with early-stage investors, VC firms, PE firms, and financial advisors.
