FreeS Fund Fintech Investment Summit 2020: What New Opportunities Will Emerge in the Fintech Space?

China stands at the starting line of a new wave of financial innovation.

In capital markets, we face a hundred-trillion-yuan asset transformation tide, bringing dual shifts and opportunities in both asset management structures and wealth allocation targets. Meanwhile, as healthcare system reform deepens and comprehensive auto insurance reform advances, the curtain has risen on insurance market innovation. Beyond that, we're seeing innovative technologies like blockchain and AI gradually find real-world applications in finance, delivering massive efficiency gains and momentum for serving the real economy.

We believe that truly outstanding companies will all have the chance to participate in this fintech wave and contribute their value.

This is also why FreeS Fund is doubling down on finance. Since our founding, we've kept a steady eye on the fintech track, and have already invested in more than ten companies spanning consumer finance, supply chain finance, wealth management, asset management, financial big data, and insurtech.

From September to October this year, FreeS Fund will partner with Live Silicon Valley, CreditEase Wealth Management, and Plug and Play to launch the "FreeS Fintech Venture Summit 2020" — four online events plus one Fintech Open Day. The summit will cover topics that entrepreneurs care about: wealth management, financial enterprise services, payments/digital currency, and insurance.

Our speakers include Feng Shu (Li Feng, founding partner of FreeS Fund), who has spent a decade doing cross-border investment between China and the U.S.; Ning Tang, founder & CEO of CreditEase; Pengqi Liu, vice president at FreeS Fund; Weili Dong, head of FreeS Fund North America; and three founders from the FreeS family in fintech:

• Ke Xu, founder of Fintopia. Before founding his own company, he was an index specialist at Bloomberg's New York headquarters, and later chairman and president of Shanghai Great Wisdom (601519). He earned his bachelor's degree in technical physics from Peking University and his Ph.D. in quantitative finance from Northeastern University.
• Dianming Hu, founder of Ganying Intelligence. He founded Ganying Intelligence in Beijing in 2017, and previously served as technical director at Novumind and as founding architect of Baidu's Intelligent Data Center.
• Qingfeng Zhang, founder of Aixuan Technology. Aixuan is committed to "the right insurance for everyone," providing commercial insurance products for uninsurable populations, people with pre-existing conditions, and specific demographic groups, while also offering medium- to long-term actuarial services and innovative medical insurance design for government health departments. Zhang previously worked in government, helped run an internet healthcare startup, co-founded and operated an NGO, and has spent years in the insurance industry.
