FreeS Fund's 8th Anniversary — Welcome Aboard, Let's Go Further Together

We're 8 years old! In early September, at that liminal moment between summer's end and autumn's beginning, we gathered on a romantic rooftop to celebrate FreeS Fund's 8th anniversary.

The dress code for our anniversary party was "dopa(8)mine." Vibrant reds, warm oranges, sweet Barbie pinks, cool Klein blues, and our signature "FreeS green" — the exuberant outfits reflected the colorful inner universes of every colleague. We celebrated work anniversaries together, reminiscing about the funny stories of when people first joined. We played all kinds of games testing reaction speed, perception, and mimicry, joyfully marking the company's 8th birthday alongside our Virgo colleagues' birthdays. [Click to watch the video]

At the monthly meeting on anniversary day, Feng Shu (Li Feng) shared two keywords: "be yourself" and "rely on yourself." "You have to know who you are before you know what to do." Whether for a company, an organization, or an individual, both principles apply. In the process of growing, we gradually understand our own characteristics, play to our strengths, build resilience, and strive to grow.

The number 8 resembles a standing "∞" (infinity) symbol. We look forward to stepping up to new heights in this new cycle and embracing infinite possibilities. (P.S. There's a gift for readers at the end.)

So much recognition — thank you

From 2023 to present, we've received over 50 honors in total: more than 30 for the firm, and over 20 for individual FreeS colleagues.

Among the firm's awards: over 10 recognized FreeS Fund's comprehensive capabilities, with keywords including "most popular among entrepreneurs," "most influential," "best returns," "best early-stage," "investment pioneer," "exit pioneer," and "ESG pioneer." In specific investment sectors, our healthcare investments drew attention from both industry players and specialized medical media; our hard tech and AI investments garnered considerable recognition; and our consumer investment practice continued to receive affirmation.

Among individual honors: Feng Shu received multiple recognitions spanning "most popular," "best early-stage," "regional empowerment," and "best returnee" categories. Partner Wang Lei earned recognition from Zero2IPO & PEDaily and China FOF Research Center, all affirming the role women play in the venture capital world. Partner Ma Rui was honored by the Global PE Forum & Caixin Data, China FOF Research Center, VB-Arterial Network, Cyzone, Jazzyear, and CHC Medical Consulting & CITIC Securities. Investment Partner Chen Shi also received honors from EqualOcean and Jazzyear.
