$1 Billion! China-UAE Partnership: TCab Tech's E20 eVTOL Secures 350-Unit Overseas Order | BlueRun Ventures Portfolio Headlines
E20 eVTOL Flies Toward UAE Low-Altitude Airspace

On July 16, UAE-based Autocraft signed a procurement agreement with TCab Tech for an order valued at $1 billion. Autocraft will purchase 350 E20 eVTOL aircraft, and the two companies will collaborate to advance the commercial deployment of the E20 eVTOL across the Middle East and North Africa for applications including low-altitude tourism and urban air mobility, jointly accelerating the scaled deployment and operation of this new paradigm in aerial transportation.
BlueRun Ventures was an investor in TCab Tech's seed round and increased its stake in subsequent rounds. As the early matchmaker between the two parties, BlueRun Ventures helped establish the foundation for this partnership; this signing marks a new phase in that collaboration.
That same morning, His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority, led a delegation to visit TCab Tech for an inspection tour, accompanied by His Excellency Muhannad Al Naqbi, Consul General of the UAE in Shanghai. Yongwei Huang, Founder and CEO of TCab Tech, delivered the welcome address. He was joined by Jun Jiang, Founding Partner and Chief Marketing Officer; Xiaoming Tang, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer; and Longchao Zhou, Co-founder and Vice President of Quality and Airworthiness, in accompanying the delegation.

Subsequently, TCab Tech and strategic partner Autocraft held the signing ceremony at TCab Tech's premises. Abdulrahman Al Harmoodi, Senior Vice President of Trading at UAE-based EDGE Group, and Xian Zhang, Deputy District Mayor of Shanghai's Minhang District, were among the officials present to witness this milestone, with attendees applauding together.

As a leading eVTOL company, TCab Tech has remained focused on using technological innovation to drive the sustainable development of aerial mobility. The E20, TCab Tech's self-developed flagship model, employs a tiltrotor configuration that combines vertical takeoff and landing capability with efficient cruise performance. Designed for both intercity and intracity travel scenarios, it offers significant advantages in safety, economics, and adaptability.
Autocraft is a UAE-based enterprise that has been investing in frontier technologies and is committed to positioning the UAE as a leader in aerial mobility solutions. Through this partnership, Autocraft will leverage its comprehensive strengths in policy resources, geographic conditions, operational experience, and local market access, combined with TCab Tech's deep technical expertise in eVTOL product development, manufacturing, and systems integration, to jointly advance pilot deployment and commercialization of the E20 eVTOL across multiple regions in the Middle East and North Africa. Autocraft stated: "We have always sought international partners with technological foresight and systematic delivery capabilities. TCab Tech's technical maturity in the eVTOL sector, its capabilities in building safety systems, and its profound understanding of industry trends gave us confidence in our decision to jointly develop an E20 adapted for the Middle East and North Africa market. We believe this partnership will inject strong momentum into the development of the low-altitude economy and the transformation toward intelligent transportation in the Middle East."

On the day of the signing, TCab Tech's technical team and representatives from the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority engaged in in-depth technical discussions regarding the E20 eVTOL's airworthiness certification pathway, operational management regulations, and regulatory coordination mechanisms, laying a solid foundation for the aircraft's commercial application in the UAE market.
The $1 billion order represents not only a critical breakthrough in the E20 eVTOL's international expansion, but also a model of China-UAE technological cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. As Yongwei Huang, Founder and CEO of TCab Tech, put it: "This deepened collaboration with Autocraft demonstrates TCab Tech's global deployment capabilities and marks a key step for 'Made in China' going overseas. We will continue to work with our partners to provide reliable aerial mobility solutions for users worldwide, and to show the world the hard power of China's low-altitude technology."
