BlueRun Ventures-Backed Lingchu Intelligence Raises 2 Billion Yuan in Seed Round, Tackling "Dexterous Manipulation" Challenge | BlueRun Family
Bringing Robots Into Factories, Onto the Market

Lingchu Intelligence has completed its angel and Pre-A rounds totaling RMB 200 million in funding, with both rounds backed by state-owned capital, industrial capital, and multiple funds. This financing milestone establishes Lingchu Intelligence as a core innovative force in China's national embodied intelligence strategic layout. The capital will be deployed to scale logistics applications and build a large-scale data collection solution system.
BlueRun Ventures led Lingchu Intelligence's first round. We congratulate Lingchu Intelligence on completing this new round of financing and look forward to the team tackling "dexterous manipulation" — the critical challenge in embodied intelligence — to bring robots into factories and real markets, solving complex real-world problems.

Lingchu Intelligence was founded in 2024. Its seed round was invested by BlueRun Ventures, Hillhouse, and AgiBot. The core founding team brings together top industry talent, including Dr. Qibin Wang, who has years of hands-on robotics industry experience; Chen Yuanpei, a Stanford University visiting scholar and Gen Z entrepreneurial pioneer; and Dr. Chai Xiaojie, who has deep algorithmic expertise in robotics and autonomous driving. The company also co-established the Peking University–Lingchu Intelligence Embodied Dexterous Manipulation Joint Laboratory with Peking University, and appointed Yaodong Yang, Assistant Professor (Boyu Scholar) at Peking University's Institute for Artificial Intelligence, as Chief Scientist.
As the team with the highest density of scientists in the industry, Lingchu Intelligence has been committed to solving the dexterous manipulation challenge in embodied intelligence since its inception. The company builds its software toolchain around an end-to-end VLA (Vision-Language-Action) model, and through its self-developed Psi-SynEngine embodied data collection engine, efficiently acquires real-world interaction data while significantly reducing collection costs. Lingchu Intelligence has already completed small-scale scenario validation in real logistics customer warehouses, achieving substantive breakthroughs in sorting efficiency.

According to the latest national policy documents, embodied intelligence has been incorporated into a core strategic direction. National policy explicitly emphasizes breakthroughs in robotics and intelligent equipment core technologies, promotes practical capability improvements for intelligent robots especially in unstructured environments, and makes intelligentization of the robotics industry a key development priority. The 14th Five-Year Plan for Robotics Industry Development calls for strengthening core technology breakthroughs, overcoming key technologies such as intelligent control and reliability, enhancing robots' autonomous decision-making and reliable execution capabilities in complex environments, and driving high-end, intelligent product development.
In recent years, the State Council and relevant ministries have also included "embodied intelligence" and "intelligent agents" as future industry directions in national strategic planning through government work reports and industrial policies, setting goals and roadmaps for deepening AI-manufacturing integration and building industry-level standard systems.
Currently, state-owned investment closely aligns with national policy direction, focusing on core technology commercialization and industrial security development. With passion for innovation, sober judgment of the industry, and deep commitment to real-world embodied intelligence deployment — this is the capital market's core assessment of Lingchu Intelligence. Lingchu Intelligence's consecutive investments from multiple state-owned funds mark deep recognition of its technical path by the state capital system, positioning it as a central force in national embodied intelligence.

At this stage, competition in embodied intelligence is fundamentally a competition for high-quality data. Lingchu Intelligence believes that laboratory simulation data cannot fully substitute for real-world physical interaction. Therefore, "human data collection" has become a core deployment target for this funding round.
Lingchu Intelligence possesses its self-developed Psi-SynEngine embodied data collection engine, which can acquire massive amounts of high-quality real-scenario data at far lower cost than traditional teleoperation, with extreme cost advantage as the core competitive edge. Lingchu Intelligence CEO Qibin Wang noted that the comprehensive cost of data collection through gloves can be reduced to roughly one-tenth of real-machine teleoperation solutions. Going forward, Lingchu Intelligence plans to introduce a portable, crowdsourced version, potentially driving costs down even further and clearing the economic barrier for million-hour-level embodied data collection.

In 2026, Lingchu Intelligence plans to build and complete the nation's largest dexterous hand dataset, laying a solid data foundation for embodied intelligence to move from technological leadership to commercial closure.

Faced with the current industry landscape of proliferating hardware platforms, Lingchu Intelligence has clarified its "small full-stack" strategic positioning. Since its founding, the company's R&D focus has been on building a software and toolchain system centered on end-to-end VLA models. We target semi-structured logistics and retail scenarios, leveraging their high-frequency, generalizable demand characteristics to demonstrate the unique value of embodied intelligence in non-standard automation.
Over the past years of logistics automation evolution, the industry has progressed from "manual handling" to "AGV/AMR mobility," yet sorting, picking, and packaging — links that heavily depend on human hand dexterity — remain the final fortress constraining full-process automation. In 2026, Lingchu Intelligence will further push embodied intelligence deployment in complex logistics environments, driving process-based delivery, and is committed to bringing humanoid robots into factories and real markets. This is the other core deployment target for this funding round.

Lingchu Intelligence CEO Qibin Wang stated: We are grateful for the trust and long-term support from "national team" capital, industrial capital, and all new and existing shareholders. We firmly believe that true breakthroughs in robotics come from real-world data accumulation and continuous iteration of model capabilities. Lingchu Intelligence will build a data flywheel centered on human multimodal data, enabling robots to achieve genuine dexterous manipulation capabilities.
Over the past year, Lingchu Intelligence has achieved critical breakthroughs in algorithm robustness and dexterous manipulation reliability, pushing embodied intelligence operation success rates to the threshold of commercial application. This financing represents not only capital's recognition of Lingchu's technical strength, but also trust in our vision of "enabling robots with general dexterous manipulation capabilities." Going forward, Lingchu Intelligence will continue to deepen foundational technology, ensuring robots perform not just well in laboratories, but truly enter factories, adapt to more scenarios, and solve more complex real-world problems.
