BlueRun Ventures Leads Rounds, Automotive Communication Chip Firm Lingpao Microelectronics Closes Two Consecutive Rounds Exceeding RMB 100 Million in Total | BlueRun Ventures

a domestic leader in Bluetooth high-precision positioning chips

Automotive communication chip and solution provider Lingpao Microelectronics announced it has raised over 100 million RMB across its angel and Pre-A rounds. BlueRun Ventures led the angel round, with Yiling Capital and Microlight Venture Capital participating; Xinshang Capital led the Pre-A round, with Pengchen Capital and Nanjing Gaoke following on, while existing investors BlueRun Ventures and Yiling Capital continued to increase their stakes.

Founded in early 2023, Lingpao Microelectronics is a chip and solution design company focused on automotive communications. As vehicle architecture undergoes transformation and software-defined vehicle (SDV) demand accelerates, the market's need for high-precision positioning and stable transmission capabilities — both inside and outside the vehicle — continues to grow. At the same time, in-vehicle domain communications remain plagued by fragmented technologies, multiple standards, and excessive wiring harnesses, hindering the evolution of electrical/electronic (EE) architecture. While automotive Ethernet aims to unify standards and protocols, the road ahead remains long. Demand for multi-interface, multi-protocol switching will persist and may even intensify.

Drawing on its accumulated expertise and extensive experience, Lingpao Microelectronics is committed to delivering leading, highly cost-effective solutions. The company's investment in the automotive sector will elevate its overall planning philosophy, design processes, and process technology to higher quality standards, avoiding the trap of competing solely on low quality and low price. While cultivating its automotive business, Lingpao Microelectronics will also apply these principles and technologies to other domains to generate additional value.

The company has already launched the first chip in its first-generation product series, which employs the latest Bluetooth protocol and Channel Sounding positioning algorithms to significantly improve positioning accuracy, thoroughly address security vulnerabilities, and greatly reduce calibration workload for manufacturers — making it one of the first domestic companies to mass-produce chips with this technology. The chip and its underlying technology are initially being applied in the automotive digital key space, where its high-precision positioning capabilities can extend through the Bluetooth ecosystem into broader scenarios such as asset management in data centers, energy transmission, and fire protection, as well as equipment maintenance for electrical power systems.

The company is currently conducting market promotion, mass production, and inventory buildup for its first chip, pushing for deep cooperation with first-tier OEMs, continuously optimizing positioning algorithms, and improving end-user experience. It has also initiated planning and pre-research for subsequent products.

Sam Li, Lingpao Microelectronics' head of market planning, said: "A critical prerequisite for software-defined vehicles is the ability to pre-install additional 'computing power' and 'connectivity' in current vehicle models. From this perspective, the deployment of 'computing power' and 'connectivity' needs to be somewhat forward-looking. Lingpao Microelectronics is dedicated to researching data transmission within vehicle domains, continuously exploring applications of new technologies in new scenarios, so that in-vehicle 'connectivity' can keep pace with — and even exceed — current demands."
