BlueRun Ventures Seed Project Galaxy Universal Closes $300 Million New Funding Round | BlueRun Family
Humanoid robots are entering a new phase of scaled productivity.

Galaxy Universal recently announced it has raised over $300 million in a new funding round. The round was led by China Mobile's Chain Leader Fund, with joint investment from CICC Capital, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Fund, Suzhou Venture Capital Group, CCTV Convergence Media Industry Investment Fund, Tianqi Co., Ltd., and others. International investors from Singapore and the Middle East also participated, alongside follow-on commitments from existing shareholders.
This round signals that the global humanoid robotics industry, after a period of rapid advances in locomotion capabilities, is now entering a new phase of scaled productive deployment.
BlueRun Ventures led Galaxy Universal's seed round and has continued to invest in multiple subsequent rounds. Congratulations to Galaxy Universal on reaching another milestone! We firmly believe in the immense potential of the embodied intelligence sector and are confident that it will produce the next generation of global companies.

As the first company worldwide to achieve full-stack self-research spanning "billions of high-quality data points" to "embodied foundation models" to "robot hardware," Galaxy Universal has consistently achieved breakthroughs at the technological frontier.
The team's self-developed embodied intelligence foundation models and other core technologies have delivered multiple world-firsts in areas including multi-task generalized manipulation, full-body motion control for humanoid robots, cross-platform autonomous navigation, and dexterous hand fine manipulation — laying a solid technical foundation for the scaled, high-reliability deployment of humanoid robots.

Closely aligned with real industrial demand, Galaxy Universal remains committed to building humanoid robots to industrial-grade standards. The company has developed mature solutions and achieved scaled commercial deployment across industrial manufacturing, instant retail warehouses, smart city services, and healthcare:
Technologically, Galaxy Universal is unquestionably the leader in embodied foundation models.
Recently, Galaxy Universal released NavFoM, the world's first cross-platform, omnidirectional navigation foundation model, enabling robots to comprehend "the essence of movement" for the first time. It delivers both following and autonomous navigation capabilities in complex environments, achieving industry-first hour-scale long-horizon navigation with dynamic obstacle avoidance. To address the long-standing gap in dexterous manipulation, the company introduced DexNDM, a neural dynamics model for dexterous hands that breaks from traditional trajectory programming. For the first time in the industry, it implements a training-based control algorithm for dexterous hands, enabling them to flexibly handle complex, diverse, elongated, and miniature objects with precision operations including in-hand rotation — tightening screws, repairing table legs, and more — pushing embodied intelligence toward trillion-scale industrial precision applications. Looking toward richer social scenarios, Galaxy Universal has also advanced quadruped research with the release of Any2Track, an ultra-robust full-body motion tracking system that dramatically improves learning efficiency for humanoid full-body movement, achieving "track any motion, withstand any disturbance" and significantly enhancing bipedal robot stability and adaptability in complex environments.
Furthermore, Galaxy Universal actively drives ecosystem development through open-source releases: DexonomySim, the world's first large-scale functional grasping synthesis dataset for dexterous hands, and OpenWBT, the world's first fully open-source, multi-platform, cross-reality humanoid robot whole-body teleoperation system — providing critical infrastructure for global researchers and industry developers to accelerate embodied intelligence breakthroughs across diverse scenarios.
On the commercial front, Galaxy Universal is the first in China to achieve long-term, fully autonomous, scaled deployment of humanoid robots in real-world applications.
In industrial manufacturing, the company has established deep partnerships with leading domestic and international enterprises including CATL, Bosch Group, Toyota, Hyundai Motor, BAIC Group, SAIC, Zeekr, and Great Wall Motor. It is the first globally to put humanoid robots to work autonomously in real factory settings, with cumulative orders already reaching thousands of units.

In smart city services, Galaxy Universal pioneered the "Galaxy Space Capsule," a city-scale embodied intelligence solution centered on its humanoid robot Galbot. The system achieves fully autonomous operation and unattended service, creating smart retail and urban service terminals where humans and robots interact at "zero distance."
This solution is already in regular operation at core commercial districts, streets, landmark sites, and residential communities across dozens of cities nationwide — including Beijing's Summer Palace and Wangfujing, Chengdu's Chunxi Road, Suzhou's Shishan Cultural Plaza, and Hangzhou's Hubin Road Pedestrian Street — continuously serving citizens and standing as a global demonstration of embodied intelligence deeply empowering urban public service systems.
In instant retail warehousing, in late 2024, Galaxy Universal partnered with EBO Medical to launch China's first 24-hour smart medical retail store, deploying Galaxy Universal humanoid robots for fully autonomous operation — a replicable, scalable embodied intelligence instant retail solution.
Today, Galaxy Universal has scaled deployment across dozens of retail warehouses in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, and other cities nationwide, handling autonomous picking and packing end-to-end. This substantially addresses chronic overnight staffing shortages and excessive workload burdens in instant retail warehouses. Galaxy Universal's smart retail warehouses have operated continuously and stably 24/7 for over a year — the only humanoid robot company in the embodied intelligence sector to truly achieve long-term, real-world, stable operational capability.

In healthcare, Galaxy Universal has established deep partnerships with renowned Grade III Class A hospitals including Xuanwu Hospital, advancing deployment of humanoid robots in ward assistance, pharmacy management, and intelligent patient guidance.

This funding round represents not only strong recognition of Galaxy Universal's technical approach and scaled industrialization capabilities, but also provides full-scenario enablement for its industrial development and injects critical momentum for its comprehensive expansion across industrial, commercial, and household intelligent applications. The participation of international funds further opens global market layout and partnership expansion opportunities for Galaxy Universal.
Following the completion of this round, the company will continue increasing investment in core technologies, accelerate scaled deployment and iteration of solutions across sectors, deepen industrial synergy with strategic investors, and actively expand its global partnership network — solidifying its leading position as China's foremost embodied intelligence enterprise and driving the transformation of embodied intelligence technology into new-quality productive forces that propel industrial progress.
