CereMediTech Successfully Completes Series A+ Funding Round | BlueRun Ventures

Building the "New Infrastructure" for Diagnosing and Treating Neurological Disorders

Recently, SinoBrain announced the successful completion of a tens-of-millions-of-yuan Series A+ funding round led by China Reform Fund, with proceeds to be used primarily for product R&D, clinical trials, product registration, and market expansion. Since its founding in December 2020, SinoBrain has raised four rounds, with previous investors including BlueRun Ventures, Lenovo Capital and Incubator Group, ZhenFund, Changjian Investment, BAAI Ventures, Hetang Venture Capital, and Guotai Venture Capital, among other notable institutions. BlueRun Ventures led SinoBrain's Pre-A round.** SinoBrain is an innovative medtech company spun out of the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Software. Built on neuroscience breakthroughs recognized with China's State Scientific and Technological Progress Award, the company provides intelligent solutions spanning screening, diagnosis, treatment, and research for neurological diseases. Addressing critical clinical needs, it has established four R&D and commercialization platforms — quantitative assessment and AI-assisted diagnosis for cognitive brain disorders, quantitative assessment and AI-assisted diagnosis for movement disorders, oculomotor function testing, and brain function intervention training — along with more than ten product pipelines, comprehensively building "new infrastructure" at the intersection of brain science and engineering. Its core products have obtained six national medical device registrations and are in clinical and research use at hundreds of major medical institutions. Committed to advancing clinical research, SinoBrain empowers cutting-edge neuroscience studies and has collaborated with clinical experts on dozens of high-quality research projects, with findings published in leading journals such as Alzheimer's & Dementia.

Since its inception, SinoBrain has maintained consistent investment in innovative medical technology, driving industry advancement through independent R&D and technology commercialization, and has achieved multiple breakthroughs in the global diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases. In 2021, it co-founded the "Neuroscience Joint Innovation Center" with Peking Union Medical College Hospital, pursuing integrated industry-university-research collaboration on quantitative brain function assessment and innovative intervention technologies to accelerate theoretical research, technology development, and product translation. In 2022, partnering with Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and other top domestic medical institutions, it successfully applied for and undertook the national 14th Five-Year Plan's major AI initiative on "Intelligent Human-Computer Interaction Technologies for Early Warning of Neurological Diseases," serving as the sole corporate participant responsible for technology commercialization and application deployment. In August this year, SinoBrain jointly launched the "NeuroFunctionDataset-CN" with 13 leading neurology hospitals across China, including Peking Union Medical College Hospital — the world's largest multimodal quantitative neurofunction database. This initiative fills a critical gap in clinical data standards for quantitative neurofunctional assessment both domestically and internationally, providing a robust scientific foundation for early diagnosis of neurological diseases and optimization of treatment protocols. More recently, SinoBrain initiated the "BINGO Study" (Multicenter Study on Establishing a Multidimensional Brain Aging Assessment System) with 18 domestic medical institutions including Beijing Tiantan Hospital, establishing for the first time an objective, comprehensive brain aging assessment system based on multichannel intelligent interaction technology. This provides scientific evidence for early identification of abnormal brain aging and holds significant importance for early screening and intervention in neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

The company has filed for over 100 invention patents and other forms of intellectual property, with more than 50 granted. It has been certified as a national high-tech enterprise, a Beijing "Little Giant" specialized and innovative SME, a Zhongguancun high-tech enterprise, a technology-based SME, and a Beijing intellectual property pilot unit. It was selected for the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security's key funding program in the "2022 Returnee Entrepreneurship Support Plan," and placed third in the national finals of the 13th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in the new-generation information technology category.

Xiangmin Fan, SinoBrain's founder and chairman, stated: "We are deeply honored to have earned the trust and support of China Reform Fund. SinoBrain will continue to increase R&D investment, deepen collaboration with leading clinical teams, and actively drive the translation and application of innovative outcomes. We firmly believe that with the strong support of our new and existing shareholders, broad recognition from our customer base, and the collective efforts of our team, we can contribute more innovative solutions to the global prevention and intervention of neurological diseases, helping elderly populations achieve healthier and longer lives."
