Hong Song Integrates DeepSeek AI, Breaking the "Dimensional Wall" in Silver-Tech Innovation | BlueRun Ventures Family Headlines

Helping seniors integrate into the digital society and narrowing the digital divide.

Recently, BlueRun Ventures portfolio company Hongsong announced it has fully integrated DeepSeek's large language model and launched "AI Song Xiaozhi" — China's first intelligent life assistant tailored for adults 50 and older, comprehensively upgrading the lifestyle and entertainment experience for senior users. This marks the formal arrival of China's first silver-economy lifestyle product built on generative AI, as technological innovation for aging populations breaks through conventional boundaries. BlueRun Ventures was Hongsong's seed-round investor and has continued to back the company through multiple follow-on rounds. The deep application of AI in lifestyle services for older adults aligns closely with national strategy to promote high-quality development of the silver economy. A recently released State Council opinion on advancing high-quality development of service consumption explicitly calls to "vigorously develop the silver economy and promote the growth of smart health and elderly care industries."

Hongsong founder and CEO Qiao Li said the deep integration of the Hongsong app with DeepSeek represents a major breakthrough in the company's technological innovation and a critical step in advancing its AI strategy. "As an innovative enterprise focused on the convergence of senior services and technology, Hongsong is accelerating its exploration of new economic models in China. We hope to contribute to high-quality development of the silver economy through intelligent and digital means. We believe AI technology will play a revolutionary role in understanding the needs of older adults and driving service innovation." The fully DeepSeek-powered Hongsong App version 5.0.0 is now live across major app stores.

Unlike other demographic groups, contemporary older adults show strong enthusiasm for participation in social, learning, and health management activities, while placing particular emphasis on trust and ease of use when engaging with internet products. Hongsong disclosed service data showing that users interact with dedicated service assistants nearly ten million times daily, with content spanning not only routine interest-based courses but also substantial proactive inquiries about health, daily life, and travel.

Built on the DeepSeek-R1 large model, the AI agent "Song Xiaozhi" is positioned as a 24/7 one-stop life and learning service assistant for retirees. Through large-model data analysis and deep reasoning capabilities, it can more thoroughly identify and understand users' interests, learning styles, and lifestyles to precisely match personalized needs. The launch of "Song Xiaozhi" will dramatically expand the interactive space between the Hongsong app and its senior user base, addressing diverse interaction needs beyond interest-based learning. It serves as a health manager offering wellness advice and recipe recommendations; a pocket "encyclopedia" covering everything from macro-level silver-economy policy to daily weather forecasts; and through intelligent dialogue and deep-thinking features, it provides older adults with more real-time, warm, and humanized companionship.

For deeply personalized interest-based learning services, Hongsong is developing the "Song Xiaozhi AI Learning Assistant" based on the DeepSeek-V3 model and proprietary learning data, aiming to provide more precise learning answers and personalized recommendations. Currently in testing with select user groups, the feature is scheduled for full rollout in March. A Hongsong technical lead explained that with DeepSeek integration, older adults can access one-stop intelligent services through simple voice or text interaction. This innovation significantly lowers barriers to entry, enabling seniors to more intuitively and conveniently experience the convenience and warmth that technology brings.

As a pioneer in China's silver-economy lifestyle and entertainment sector, Hongsong has long focused on challenges including social isolation, lack of emotional companionship, and the coexistence of learning needs with learning difficulties among middle-aged and older adults, committing to delivering high-quality interest-based learning and lifestyle services. The company also continuously explores frontier technologies including AI to help older adults better integrate into digital society and narrow the digital divide.

The lead further noted that beyond full DeepSeek integration, the Hongsong app will continue refining its core "interest + social + learning" model, optimizing user experience and product interaction while driving UGC content ecosystem development. Through deepening AI application, Hongsong aims to build an intelligent, warm, and vibrant platform that enriches more users' later years.
