Nankai Hecheng Completes 200 Million Yuan Series B Round | BlueRun Ventures Family

Accelerating Toward a Trillion-Yuan Future for the Polypeptide Industry

Recently, Tianjin Nankai HeCheng Technology Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Nankai HeCheng), a global key supplier of solid-phase synthesis carrier resins, completed a 200 million yuan Series B financing round, led by Shenzhen Capital Group. The proceeds will primarily fund subsequent capacity expansion and the growth and strengthening of the company's talent team. BlueRun Ventures was the investor in Nankai HeCheng's Series A round. Founded in 2001, Nankai HeCheng is a functional polymer resin manufacturer with top-tier R&D capabilities in the industry. The company currently offers a portfolio including solid-phase synthesis carrier resins, adsorption resins, immobilized enzyme resins, hemoperfusion resins, ion exchange resins, and chromatographic separation resins. These products have been successfully applied in numerous fields such as solid-phase synthesis of peptide drugs and small nucleic acid drugs, separation and purification of peptides and proteins, and semi-synthesis of antibiotic drugs, making the company a core supplier globally. Previously, Nankai HeCheng had received investments from HLC, Sinochem Capital Venture, Haihe Fund, BlueRun Ventures, CMB International, Huajin Capital, Bohai Chuangfu, and other institutions. Following this financing round, Nankai HeCheng will continue to build on efficient, stable, and high-quality large-scale production, expanding through its growing R&D and sales capabilities. The company aims to further consolidate and expand its presence in domestic and international markets, with the goal of becoming a comprehensive leading enterprise in the global functional polymer resin sector. BlueRun Ventures stated: "Currently, solid-phase synthesis is one of the mainstream production methods for peptides, and novel resins can enhance peptide production efficiency by providing higher amino acid coupling conversion rates. At the same time, their excellent mechanical properties and chemical stability can improve reaction conditions, increase the purity of resulting peptides, and ultimately elevate the quality of peptide drugs. Nankai HeCheng has devoted decades to the functional polymer field and possesses top-tier R&D capabilities. The peptide industry stands at an inflection point driven by both supply and demand, and we are optimistic about Nankai HeCheng's growth potential."
