Open Collaboration to Build a Life Sciences and Technology Innovation Ecosystem
In April 2026, Dalton Venture Hong Kong Limited, the firm's Hong Kong fund management entity, was selected for the first batch of fund managers under the enhanced Innovation and Technology Venture Fund (ITVF) program of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Innovation and Technology Commission.
As the only fund manager in this cohort with a mainland China headquarters in the Yangtze River Delta region, and also the only one focused on the life sciences sector, Dalton Venture's selection reflects the firm's long-term accumulation of vertical industry investment expertise, cross-border resource integration capabilities, and international fund operations infrastructure.
Going forward, the Dalton Hong Kong Fund will center on the "AI + Life Sciences" theme, with a focus on innovation areas featuring high technical barriers and long-term industrial value, including brain science, high-end medical devices (with emphasis on ophthalmology), synthetic biology, and drug discovery.
Yaochao Chen's arrival will further refine the Dalton Hong Kong Fund's operational systems and international resource connectivity, helping the firm link up with more outstanding entrepreneurial teams, industry partners, and global investment institutions.
Investors, entrepreneurial teams, and industry partners are welcome to connect with Dalton Venture to jointly link innovative resources and explore the possibilities of life sciences and technology development.
