Background
Recently, Shanghai-based United InnoMed announced the completion of a new funding round exceeding RMB 100 million. The round was jointly led by Dalton Venture and Dragonstone Capital, with participation from Yinglian Health Fund and Tianruifengnian Capital, while existing shareholder Lilly Asia Ventures continued its support. The proceeds will primarily fund R&D and regulatory clinical trials for multiple core pipeline products.

Founded in 2020, United InnoMed focuses on developing innovative Class III active implantable devices, dedicated to providing high-value "closed-loop" heart failure management solutions for patients worldwide. Its current pipeline covers both acute and chronic heart failure management, including: ① long-term implantable products for chronic heart failure patients that integrate "therapy + diagnosis," and ② Electrical Circulatory Support products for short-term use in hospitalized acute heart failure patients. Both products have completed dozens of animal studies and are initiating China registration clinical trials.
All pipeline products are independently developed and world-first innovations, with over 100 domestic and international invention patents filed to date. Since its founding, the company has been committed to building a truly integrated acute and chronic heart failure closed-loop management ecosystem encompassing "therapy + assessment + chronic disease management," while establishing multiple globally leading, highly synergistic technology platforms. Through extensive research and validation, it aims to bring these products to heart failure patients in China and globally.
Dr. Li Wang, the company's founder and CEO, is a nationally recognized high-level overseas talent with over 30 years of deep expertise in Class III active implantable heart failure and CRM (Cardiac Rhythm Management) fields. He previously served as Chief Scientist and "Technical Fellow" at Medtronic headquarters, as well as BU Head for Greater China pacemaker operations. He led or made major contributions to the development and global launch of numerous pacing and heart failure innovations, five of which were industry-defining, world-first products and therapies. As the inaugural CEO of domestic medical device leader LEPU Medical's Cardiac Rhythm Management division, he led the team to achieve the first domestic pacemaker launch meeting "international quality, made in China" standards, which was included in the Ministry of Science and Technology's 2018 "Innovative Medical Device Product Catalog." Dr. Wang also assisted industry associations and top experts in globally pioneering and advancing the 1.5-level prevention concept, significantly accelerating ICD new therapy adoption in China — a concept incorporated into the 2021 Chinese ICD Expert Consensus.
Dr. Wang is a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS). He received the 2014 "Outstanding Contribution Award" from the Chinese Society of Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing, and has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the National Active Implants Sub-Technical Committee, Director of the Medical Device Professional Committee of Shanghai Pudong Biomedical Industry Association, Council Member of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical Device Industry Alumni Association, Judge for the "Zhichuang Cup" Frontier Technology Challenge, and Expert for the Yangtze River Delta G60 Science and Technology Innovation Corridor Advisory Committee, among other roles.
The company has assembled an exceptional team with extensive experience in Class III implantable medical device (including sensor) development, featuring innovative thinking and international perspectives across quality, R&D, medical affairs, clinical, manufacturing, regulatory, and management functions. Over 80% are R&D personnel, more than 40% hold master's or doctoral degrees, and the core team's average management and R&D experience exceeds 15 years.
With the mission of "Perfect Life, Beautiful Living," United InnoMed strives to become a pioneer in novel device therapies for heart failure worldwide, providing high-quality heart failure management products and services to patients in China and beyond, improving quality of life and extending longevity.

Ning Huang, Founding Partner of lead investor Dalton Venture, stated: As population aging accelerates, heart failure — the end stage of cardiovascular disease — affects a massive patient population and imposes enormous societal burden. Heart failure patients face persistently high mortality and rehospitalization rates with costly treatments. The market has tremendous demand for long-term effective management concepts and tools for heart failure patients, yet device-based therapies remain scarce. Innovative technologies are urgently needed to drive adoption of high-value therapies. We are bullish on the United InnoMed team. The founder has spent over 30 years in active implantable and heart failure fields with highly mature product development and commercialization experience. Based on profound understanding of heart failure mechanisms, the company has built a globally innovative product pipeline, being among the first worldwide to deploy chronic heart failure products combining both therapeutic and diagnostic functions, while also innovatively designing acute heart failure device therapies to fill clinical gaps in this treatment area — truly achieving a "closed-loop" model and complete solution for heart failure management.
