Qiming Healthcare Partnering Day 2025 Successfully Held in Shanghai, Fostering Partnerships Between Global Pharma Giants and Chinese Biotech Startups
This marks the fourth consecutive year that Qiming Venture Partners has hosted this event, which to date has facilitated hundreds of one-on-one meetings for over a hundred leading global pharmaceutical and investment companies, laying a solid foundation for expanding the scope and elevating the level of collaboration between enterprises.

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners, a leading Chinese venture capital firm, successfully hosted the 2025 Qiming Healthcare Partnering Day in Shanghai. The event was designed to create a platform for Qiming's portfolio companies and top global pharmaceutical firms to exchange ideas, explore potential collaboration opportunities, accelerate innovation, and ultimately advance healthcare development in China and worldwide — addressing unmet medical needs for patients.
This marks the fourth consecutive year Qiming has held this event, which to date has facilitated hundreds of one-on-one meetings for over a hundred (instances of) leading global pharmaceutical companies and portfolio companies, laying solid groundwork for expanding cooperation areas and elevating partnership levels.
This year's Qiming Healthcare Partnering Day demonstrated remarkable dynamism and mutual appeal. Nearly 50 companies conducted over 140 meetings. On one hand, top global pharmaceutical firms showed strong partnership interest — the most active participant engaged with 13 Qiming portfolio companies. On the other hand, Qiming's biotech investments gained broad market recognition, with the most sought-after company successfully meeting with 8 leading pharmaceutical firms.

Since its launch in 2022, the Qiming Healthcare Partnering Day has successfully built a bridge connecting top global pharmaceutical companies with China's biotech forces, becoming a widely recognized platform for efficient and in-depth exchange in the healthcare innovation sector. The event takes the form of closed-door, in-person meetings centered on customized "one-on-one" deep-dive discussions. Participating executives, R&D specialists, and market experts explore potential strategic partnerships around core technologies, product pipelines, business models, and cutting-edge industry trends. The event not only provides portfolio companies with unique direct access to global pharmaceutical firms, effectively broadening their collaboration channels, but also helps them build sustainable competitive advantages through precise resource matching and technology insights.
The Qiming Healthcare Partnering Day represents a key practice of Qiming's post-investment service capabilities. As the globalization of innovative drugs accelerates and Chinese biotech enterprises increasingly integrate into the global innovation ecosystem, Qiming has continuously upgraded its post-investment service system, actively supporting portfolio companies in expanding their international footprint. As of October 2025, Qiming portfolio companies have signed 30 BD transactions with multinational pharmaceutical companies and overseas biotech firms, with disclosed transaction value totaling $19.7 billion. These partnerships reflect both the international vision and innovative capabilities of Qiming and its portfolio companies, while also laying a solid foundation for China's healthcare industry to go global.
Kan Chen, Partner at Qiming Venture Partners and co-head of Healthcare Innovation, stated: "We clearly see that China's biotech innovation wave is shifting from 'following' to 'walking alongside,' and even beginning to 'lead' in certain areas. The global release of innovative value requires deep integration and value co-creation within the global innovation ecosystem — this is precisely why Qiming remains committed to building this platform. It is not merely an exchange platform, but a driving force that moves Chinese innovative power and top global pharmaceutical firms from 'awareness' to 'recognition,' and ultimately to partnership. Looking ahead, Qiming will continue leveraging its deep insights, professional capabilities, and resource network in healthcare innovation to build higher-quality collaboration bridges for our portfolio companies, helping Chinese pharmaceutical innovation achieve greater value on the global stage."
