Morning Star | WeRide Showcases L4 Autonomous Driving Scale at 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference
WeRide has always made safety its highest priority, embedding it into every step of technology R&D, testing and validation, and daily operations.

Recently, the 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference (hereinafter referred to as "this year's conference"), themed "Converging Intelligence, Connecting the Future," was grandly held in Beijing. WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, was invited to participate, showcasing its smart mobility product matrix centered on the new mass-produced Robotaxi GXR and autonomous shuttle Robobus, and providing autonomous driving shuttle services covering the main venue, affiliated hotels, and key landmarks in Yizhuang — becoming a major highlight of the event.

This year's conference focused on cutting-edge technologies, industry trends, and practical applications of intelligent connected vehicles, bringing together over 4,000 representatives from enterprises and research institutions across more than 10 countries and regions. It serves as an important platform for showcasing China's progress in intelligent connected vehicles, promoting global investment cooperation, and facilitating dialogue between policymakers and industry.
WeRide founder and CEO Tony Han was invited to speak at the conference's safety forum, themed "Building a Safety Moat — Safeguarding the Future with Intelligent Technology," delivering a speech titled "Upholding Safety as the Highest Principle to Advance Large-Scale Autonomous Driving Deployment," emphasizing that "safety is the foremost priority for scaling autonomous driving fleets." WeRide has consistently treated safety as its top priority — not merely as a slogan, but as concrete action embedded in every aspect of technology R&D, testing and validation, and daily operations.

During the conference, WeRide deployed nearly 10 Robotaxi GXRs and multiple autonomous shuttle Robobuses to provide autonomous driving shuttle services for attendees and visitors, with routes covering key locations including the Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center, Grand Skylight Hotel, and Xiaomi Auto factory. Service scenarios included hotel-to-venue commuting and corporate tour routes, fully demonstrating WeRide's mature capabilities in L4 autonomous driving technology and large-scale operations.

Beyond shuttle services, WeRide also showcased four autonomous driving products at the conference's static exhibition area, including the new mass-produced Robotaxi GXR, autonomous shuttle Robobus, autonomous sanitation vehicle S6, and unmanned sweeper S1, presenting the company's technological layout and commercial progress in both smart mobility and smart sanitation. Among these, the Robotaxi GXR can be rapidly deployed in any city worldwide, supporting 7×24-hour fully unmanned commercial operations; the autonomous shuttle Robobus targets urban micro-circulation scenarios; and the autonomous sanitation vehicle S6 and unmanned sweeper S1 represent WeRide's forward-looking exploration and real-world application in unmanned sanitation.
