· 2025 Investment Firm Soft Power Rankings

Based on a panoramic survey of China's equity investment market, FOFWEEKLY identifies value creators with sustained evolutionary capacity in the new economic cycle. Grounded in a soft power evaluation model, the rankings adhere strictly to the "three public principles" and a quality-plus-quantity assessment framework, with secondary calibration of leading institutions. The goal is to establish a localized private equity valuation benchmark, advance industry standardization, and ultimately identify industry benchmarks with socially valuable leadership impact.

This year's evaluation system focuses on the following dimensions:

1. Value Creation. Emphasizes the diligence, risk management, and track record validation of an institution's core team. The rankings primarily weigh performance, risk control mechanisms, and value added to portfolio companies;

2. Market Influence. Focuses on the degree of market and industry attention, influence, and rallying power of investment institutions. The rankings primarily weigh fundraising effectiveness, investment effectiveness, and brand management;

3. Service and Empowerment. Focuses on an institution's service and empowerment capabilities for LPs and portfolio companies. The rankings primarily weigh investor services, government relations and services, post-investment empowerment, and post-investment team;

4. Social Responsibility. Evaluates an institution's sustainable development impact on the environment and society through its investments, with particular attention to investment practices in rural revitalization and ESG. The rankings primarily weigh ESG and responsible investment initiatives.

FOFWEEKLY notes that 2025 may be a year of "rebirth" for the equity investment industry, with the market at a critical juncture of structural recovery. Since the beginning of the year, venture capital activity has rebounded markedly, and the M&A market has also encountered new opportunities. Frontier sectors such as artificial intelligence and robotics have remained intensely hot, becoming core focus areas for investment institutions and rapidly igniting primary market investment confidence.

For investment institutions, how to find new development paradigms from past successful paths has become a central industry topic; at the same time, clearer investment strategies and efficient exit capabilities are also crucial. In this process, the soft power of investment institutions has become the core element for adapting to market transformation and building new competitive advantages.
