This Is Absolutely Not the Top 10 AI Stories of 2024 You'd Expect | A Conversation with CyberZen's Editor-in-Chief "Dacongming"

"Lovely people don't get defeated by life."

A while back, we came across a line: "The lovable ones don't get beaten down by life." Both of us immediately thought of the same person: the guy known in the industry as "Big Brain," the founder of the WeChat public account CyberZen, our good friend, and the guest on this episode.

Every time we see him, or scroll through his Jike feed and Moments, we come away with joy and energy. So we invited him at year's end to chat with us about the AI industry events, people, or products that stuck with him in 2024 — we asked him to list ten.

Completely unexpected, yet utterly fitting: not a single entry on Big Brain's 2024 AI Top 10 was what we'd anticipated.

From the moment we hit record with Big Brain, the laughter never stopped.

For the full episode, we're deeply grateful for his singular perspective. He spoke about people who've inspired him (and us, of course), products that made us do a double take, and some things he learned as one of the few industry insiders invited to an OpenAI launch event — developments that most people in China may not have noticed yet.

We welcome you to join us in feeling some year-end energy and courage through Big Brain's 2024 AI Top 10.
