Behind the Manus Hype: 20 Questions to Help Us Understand AI Agents

Three weeks ago, Manus launched and went viral overnight in China. Shortly after, it drew significant attention overseas as well — Jack Dorsey, founder and CEO of Twitter, even posted a rare tweet, succinctly saying: "Excellent!" The latest issue of The Economist features two articles mentioning Manus, one of them dedicated entirely to the product.

The explosion of popularity also sparked some controversy. In today's podcast, we're not discussing the controversy, because I believe the standard for evaluating products is simple: a good product is what truly matters.

This week, we've invited two friends to join us in exploring one of 2025's hottest topics — AI Agent — through 20 questions, starting from Manus. This is the third installment of Crossroads' "20 Questions" column; the first two were "20 Questions on DeepSeek" and "20 Questions on AI Video Models."

Why "20 Questions"? Because when facing explosive products like Manus, and important concepts like AI Agent this year, we need a structured thinking framework.
