Boyin Bio (渤因生物) is a Chinese gene-therapy startup founded in 2020 by Yukun Pan, a Yale-trained PhD returnee, together with veteran gene-therapy translational researchers; it was Pan's second venture after returning to China . The company develops non-viral-vector gene therapies, targeting three pain points of the field — limited payload capacity, inability to re-dose, and high production cost — via three proprietary platforms (end-free DNA preparation, LNP-based in-vivo cell-type-targeted delivery, and in-vivo electro/mechanical transfection), with a pipeline spanning sarcopenia, hemophilia A, and bladder cancer .
