Calterah

Calterah (加特兰微电子) is a Shanghai-based automotive chip company founded in 2014 that specializes in CMOS millimeter-wave radar chips . It has established itself as one of the few domestic suppliers achieving large-scale front-loading mass production in vehicles, breaking the monopoly of international incumbents .

The company was the first globally to mass-produce automotive-grade CMOS 77GHz/79GHz millimeter-wave radar RF front-end chips in 2017, cutting costs by over 50% compared to traditional silicon-germanium processes . It later pioneered integrated SoC chips with radar signal processing baseband accelerators in 2019, and was also first to market with CMOS 77GHz/79GHz and 60GHz AiP (Antenna-in-Package) SoC chips . Its product portfolio now covers 77/79 GHz and 60 GHz RF front-ends, SoCs, and SoC AiP chips for applications ranging from corner radar and forward radar to cabin monitoring and industrial uses .

In its most recent financing, Calterah closed an over-1-billion-yuan Series E round in early 2026, with participation from national-level industrial funds, local government funds, and industrial capital . FreeS Fund (峰瑞资本), an early investor from the company's Series A stage, has participated in multiple rounds including this latest one .
