DaFang AI (大方智能) is a construction-robotics startup co-founded by Yan Qifan, previously dean of the basic research institute at Country Garden's robotics arm Bozhilin . The company builds robots to address labor aging and poor working conditions in the construction industry, and has deployed projects in Singapore including carparks and public housing as of late 2023 . Yunqi Capital led its Pre-A round and has repeatedly listed it among its robotics portfolio companies alongside Keeno, Neolix, Yizao Technology, and others . In mid-2023, Yan described the firm's technical approach as still separating perception, decision-making, control, and planning into distinct modules weighted for timeliness and accuracy, while exploring how large-model compute might eventually integrate those functions .
