Galbot

Galbot is a wheeled, dual-arm humanoid robot developed by Beijing-based Galaxy Universal (银河通用), designed as a general-purpose embodied multimodal large-model robot for both commercial and industrial use. Standing 1.73 meters tall, it employs a distinctive folding-lift mechanism that collapses its two legs into one, allowing it to crouch or even lie flat to reach objects below ground level—an approach the company contrasts with less flexible legged designs .

The robot has been deployed in several concrete scenarios: a 24-hour unmanned pharmacy partnership with Meituan for picking, delivering and restocking; automotive parts handling for Mercedes-Benz and Zeekr; and retail environments where it manages thousands of SKUs across thousands of shelf slots . At the 2025 WAIC, Galbot demonstrated autonomous reasoning with zero teleoperation for Premier Li Qiang, fetching items from shelves and handing them directly to him .

Galaxy Universal, founded roughly a year before mid-2024, raised over 700 million RMB in its angel round at a valuation in the billions of RMB, with BlueRun Ventures leading . The company has since attracted strategic investment from CATL and partnerships with Hong Kong's Investment Corporation to build out the city's embodied-intelligence ecosystem . Galaxy Universal's co-founder Wang He, a Peking University assistant professor who directs their joint embodied-intelligence lab, has stated the end vision is home deployment "serving thousands of households" .
