Gatlan (加特兰微电子), founded in 2014 and based in Shanghai, is a Chinese automotive-grade millimeter-wave radar chip company — per a FreeS Fund portfolio update, it mass-produced the world's first automotive-grade CMOS 77/79GHz radar RF front-end chip and the first CMOS radar AiP SoC, making it one of the very few domestic suppliers shipping at scale into vehicle production lines . Its portfolio spans 77/79GHz and 60GHz front-end, SoC and AiP chips for corner, front, imaging, in-cabin and door radar, plus industrial uses like smart home, elderly-care monitoring and security imaging; it has also launched what it calls the world's first IEEE 802.15.4ab-compliant UWB SoC series for digital car keys and child-presence detection . On funding, FreeS — an investor since the Series A — reported a several-hundred-million-yuan Series D in mid-2024 , and more recently a Series E exceeding 1 billion yuan backed by national industry funds, local government funds and strategic capital, with Huaxing Securities as sole financial advisor, as covered in an April 2026 FreeS Fund roundup .
