Haichuan Hu is an investor who spent roughly 2021–2022 at 5Y Capital, where he rose from senior investment manager to vice president and then executive director, with a focus on Southeast Asian e-commerce and cross-border logistics . He led or spoke for 5Y's investments in Indonesian social-commerce enabler Desty and Laizanbao, a China–Southeast Asia e-commerce infrastructure player that raised over RMB 100 million in Series A funding in late 2021 .
