Hypershell Technology (极壳科技) is a Chinese consumer exoskeleton company founded in 2021 by Huazhe Xu, a Tsinghua University assistant professor . It positions itself as the world's leading consumer exoskeleton brand, claiming top sales rankings on JD.com in China and Amazon in the US and Europe .

The company pioneered scaled mass production and commercialization of consumer-grade exoskeletons, a category once dismissed within the industry as impractical science fiction . Its product line includes the Hypershell X series, which it released in May 2026 as the first end-to-end consumer exoskeleton certified by TÜV Rheinland, featuring HyperIntuition™ algorithms for real-time adaptive assistance without preset gait templates . Earlier products include the Hypershell Carbon X, which won a CES 2025 Best of Innovation Award in robotics , and the X Ultra, previously the first SGS-certified consumer exoskeleton .
