Kaiping Geng is the founder and CEO of T-Chef (智谷天厨), a Shenzhen-based cooking-robot startup he established in 2018 after more than a decade in chain-restaurant and stir-fry-robot operations . The company has built a portfolio of 200-plus patents and certifications, claims a repertoire of over 2,000 Chinese dishes, and serves nearly 100 top-tier restaurant chains across Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, Europe and the US . Geng holds a PhD and frames T-Chef's mission as digitising the tacit knowledge of veteran chefs—wok technique, heat intuition, seasoning craft—into reproducible, traceable assets through data collection and model training . Yunqi Capital, an early backer, led a nearly RMB 100 million strategic follow-on round in the company as of July 2026 .
