Kunmai Medical

Kunmai Medical (昆迈医疗) is a Beijing-based medtech company developing liquid-helium-free quantum magnetoencephalography (MEG) systems for brain imaging and neurological disease diagnosis . Founded in 2019 by a team from Peking University, the company focuses on autonomous, high-end bio-weak magnetic imaging equipment to address clinical challenges in locating brain functional areas and identifying disease lesions .

Its core product is a next-generation quantum MEG system featuring whole-brain coverage, non-invasive imaging, high spatiotemporal resolution, and low maintenance costs . As of mid-2022, Kunmai had developed mass-producible high-sensitivity magnetic sensors, completed China's first installation of a novel quantum MEG system for research use, and entered the registration application phase for its clinical product . The company raised a Pre-A round in the tens of millions of RMB in mid-2022, with FreeS Fund (峰瑞资本) participating , and was among FreeS's portfolio of brain science investments alongside companies like Neuracle (优脑银河) .
