Luowei Technology

Luowei Technology (洛微科技) is a silicon-photonics LiDAR and 3D sensing company founded by a research team from MIT and other top global institutions . It develops integrated silicon-photonics chip technology combined with FMCW ranging to advance beyond traditional LiDAR's 3D perception, adding 4D instantaneous velocity-field sensing for autonomous driving, industrial automation, and embodied-intelligence robotics . Its self-developed LiDAR products have already been adopted in volume-production front-installation projects for domestic leading commercial heavy trucks at L2+ autonomy, with deliveries to hundreds of automation and robotics companies . The company is also expanding into autonomous driving, lawn-mowing robots, and embodied-intelligence robotics markets, and received investment from Shaanxi Photonics Industry Strengthening Fund in a funding round reported in early 2026 .
