Maifei Technology

Maifei Technology (麦飞科技) is a precision-agriculture AI company focused on using remote sensing and visual-spectrum intelligence to monitor crop health and guide targeted pesticide application . Founded in 2016, it built what it describes as the first operational technology for real-time, field-scale monitoring of crop growth and pest conditions . Its core service model combines aerial hyperspectral sensing with AI-generated prescription maps to reduce chemical use and farming costs .

The company raised a RMB 25 million Pre-A round in 2018 co-led by Baidu Venture and Gaojie Capital, with FreeS Fund participating , followed by a RMB 100 million+ Series A in early 2019 led by Guangfa Qianhe, with follow-on from existing shareholders . At that point it had expanded to over 300 employees and claimed coverage across 200,000+ mu of farmland, primarily in Hubei, Liaoning, Jiangsu and Anhui . By 2019 it had also begun splitting operations into three divisions: technology, agriculture and space, with plans to enter overseas markets . The company was recognized by 36Kr as a top innovator in enterprise services in 2018 and as "King of Smart Agriculture" in 2019 .
