MKSemi (瀚巍微电子) is a Shanghai-based fabless chip company designing ultra-low-power UWB (ultra-wideband) chips for high-precision positioning applications . Founded by CEO Yifeng Zhang, a semiconductor veteran with two decades of experience at Philips, NXP, and ams, the company emerged from his prior role as co-founder and CTO of Quintic Microelectronics . MKSemi raised a Pre-A round in late 2020 led by OPPO with MediaTek and Gaorong Ventures among the followers , then closed an over-80-million-yuan Pre-A+ round in early 2022 jointly led by Lightspeed China and Gaorong Ventures, with Qiming Venture Partners and Ivy Capital joining . At that time it also announced a partnership with Infineon Technologies and ThinkSeed Systems .
