neoX Biotech (星亢原) is a Beijing-based biotechnology company working at the intersection of AI and pharmaceutical R&D, an area 5Y Capital internally labels "ITBT." 5Y Capital was among the earliest Chinese investors in this space, backing neoX alongside peers such as XtalPi, xbiome, and Galixir . The company raised a $30 million Series A in early 2021 co-led by Cloud Nine Capital and 5Y Capital, with follow-on participation from BAI, Vertex Ventures, and existing investors including Sequoia China and Yuanjing Capital . It subsequently closed an A+ round later that year , and by 2022 was named to lists of China's most innovative and fast-growing new-economy companies .
